Can we please, please stop churning out the same old Fleck and Osborn combinations. I want to say Norwood too but too many people will hit their keyboards.

We've needed replacements in midfield for fuckin aaaages. Khadra adds some much needed creativity that MGW provided, so lets make sure we optimise it by getting that solid, quality midfield.

Agreed. Replacing MGW and a new midfield two were top of the list IMO.

Would give us great depth and something different at the top of the field.
We're going to create plenty of chances, we just need someone to link play and finish.

Whilst I think there is a point to be made from main post....

Fleck and Norwood were still part of the team that kicked on last season under hecky. And Osborn chipped in too.
Osborn has looked up for it too this pre season and when Doyle returns that's a bit more options..

I think we'll still pull out at least one surprisingly exciting loan deal (two or three if/when we sell Berge).

Norwood still plays in my opinion, makes us tick. Fleck certainly deserved to lose his place on his overall output last season (legend though, with some good performances later in the season).

I'm unsure how we go about it, but kind of expecting Doyle to start in place of Fleck, when fit.

Still would like a Choudhury type defensive minded enforcer... But no mention of this being planned from Hemmingham etc.

Osborne is a good squad player, his problem is he can't command a starting berth unless of injuries or players being banned, I am happy to see him on the bench because of his versatility but disappointed to see him start.

Given how Arblaster and Coulibaly have performed in pre season, would you look to block their experience chances?
Doyle is “back on the grass”, and I think Arblaster in particular has been a revelation fully deserving of challenging from the bench.

I'd like us to take a look at Wimbledon's Luke McCormick, 23yo ex-chelsea academy, 7 goals and 8 assists in League One last season. At one point crowned 'the next Lampard' and can play across pretty much every midfield position

... I'm not even saying we should bring him straight in as a starter, but I think he'd be a great insurance policy if the lads don't return from their injuries in great form (Sharp, Brewster, McBurnie).

You'd have an experienced player who registered 12 goals & 4 assists last season in 32 appearances.
He was club captain at Forest, so likely a decent head on him and with recent promotion winning experience.

It's not one for the future, but it's the kind of signing a promotion winning squad makes.
