Got the Google alert. 6 years! Blades 3 Chessie 2. I remember Billy's goal and the lap of honour not much else. I was on BLLT which was opened up for Blades. Incredible we still have some Sharp, Bash... of the same players. The journey started that season.

That means it must be 7 years since a handful of fans stayed behind to tell Nigel Adkins’ team what they thought of them during their lap of shame.

I didn’t even bother going that day. Picked up an extra shift at work.

At that point, if you told any of us the journey we’d go on since that day to now, you’d have got put in a straitjacket.

Was a great season. Peterborough away highlight for me. Good memories of London Road 'Posh'. Only been twice. 4.0 1.0. And a game that was postponed when we were on the train. Only game cancelled in entire four divisions that day because of frost. Was so glad return journey was only 50 mins to London after day on the beer.

3 players were part of both 2016/17 and 2022/23: Sharp, Basham, Fleck. O’Connell was also on the books for both.
