9 goals in 11 starts

Joint top scorer in the league with..... Ndiaye

No better front 2 in the league and it's not something any of us would have predicted

What a handful they are between them. Defenders at this level won't cope with that combination of physicality, work rate and ball control

I love seeing those who slagged off ANYBODY saying there was a player there now singing his praises.

Maybe should make you reflect on how and why you judge players.

To be fair, and to McBurnies own admission, he’s been dogshit for far too long. People have rightly criticised him (some more harshly and over the top than others), but anyone criticising him now very clearly have an agenda.

Lads on fire. Long may it continue.

A goal every 107 minutes is exceptional. It works out at just under 39 goals across a 46 game season.

Shame Scotland aren't in the world cup, he'd be on the plane!

This is the player whose reputation caused us to splash out a great deal of money. For quite some time he looked lost, a spare part with nowhere to go, a shadow of the player who was meant to be a decent footballer. There's been the odd glimpse since Oli arrived, against Chelsea he gave Christensen a lesson in how to dominate, but otherwise.....well it's best we don't labour the point and instead appreciate exactly what we have.

Today Oli was magnificent, a leader, he terrorised Burnley, he took them apart bit by bit, it was wonderful to see. I just hope the lad can add some consistency to his game, 'cos paired with Ndiaye we have the best attacking threat this club has needed for far too long.

I honestly didn't think he had this in him. Today was without doubt the best game he's had for the Blades. For once we actually looked a threat at corners and the long throws - well done Ollie you definitely have gone from zero to hero.

I loved the performance today 9/10- brilliant.

I saw Mcburnie at Barnsley and Swansea and was desperate for us to sign him.

However I didn't slag him off over the past couple of seasons and I'm not getting over excited now.

He needs to sustain this form to truly repay the transfer fee we paid.

At the moment he looks awesome.

Keep it up Oli.

I’ve stuck up for ladin bad times felt he would come good, he’s certainly not helped himself I get that. Now Showing what he’s all about. Love the fact he’s got every players back, he’s a guy you want behind you. Please for the lad.

I slagged him off because he was no where near the player I thought he was going to be.
It is great to see him banging the goals in so Oli carry on and become a Blades legend.

We’ve quickly gone from wondering if we’d ever got our money back to hopping to toe him down to a new deal before he’s a free agent!

He's shown what he can do.
Such potential if he puts in the effort.
What I hope :
His hernia op won't set him back.
He will put in the effort even when he's not in the last year of his contract.
He'll cut out the unnecessary bookings.

The issue here is that performance today wouldn't look out of place in the Prem so must be attracting glances in that direction

Does his contract run out in summer or does he have a optional year extension, I hope so on this seasons performance?

Yeah I agree far post pig. I’m sure you’d much rather have Callum Patterson wearing your shit shirt

I just wish he'd avoid the senseless bookings.
Today's was a classic example.
5-2 up and gets involved in an incident unnecessarily.
That was Ndiaye's fault, like it usually is

He can't resist kicking off at nothing. It will cost him and us soon

Personally I love the shit housing ndiaye, Mcburnie and other members of the squad do during a match. It’s a dark art and winding up opposition so they dive more, and become more physical just feeds into the crowd atmosphere at the lane.

When that place is rocking I can’t imagine how it feels to be the away side. Through the years I’ve seen the panic and collapse of away teams when the players are sledging and the crowd is in full voice. The bookings are frustrating part it’s all part of the game.

You could tell some of the Burnley players had been told not to get involved in our tactics during that phase, but then what you have is an away team ready to get bullied.

I thought he was superb yesterday. I felt sorry for the two centre halves who got ragged all over by McBurnie and when he was bullying them, they had to contend with the quick feet and elusiveness of Ndiaye.

The huge upturn in the output of McBurnie is down to two things.

1. He is playing for a manager who seemingly has put a bit of faith in to him and turned him in to a bit of a reclamation project. His strength and conditioning is also much improved

2. He seems a lot more settled in his personal life. He has been seeing his bird for a while and he seems to have settled down a bit.
