There were 3 clubs in for him, us, Leeds and Hull.

The Leeds fans wanted him but the general view was he’d be back up and wouldn’t immediately get into their 1st team.
The view was that for 2 million he was a fantastic signing as back up for when their midfielders lose form or get injured/ suspended.
