Would be a useful plan B if we need it. However would he make the first 11, would he come to sit on the bench and would w repay his wages??? Answer to all 3 is no I suspect

It's more people turning their noses up at a 33 year old who is on £110,000 a week.
No one believes we would be paying 110k a week, so that isn't relevant.

Montpellier
Arsenal
Chelsea
France
Individual
Yeah. Not good enough for us.

33 year old, so what? For a short term loan it'd be a great move for both parties. We have one of the oldest squads in the PL at the moment so it doesn't go against any principles about age of players we may have.

Stinks of West Ham on loan then a 3 year deal before seeing his career out in Turkey

People actually believe this? How has it even got as far as 2 pages?

It's off the equivalent of VIP Blades.

I think his contract ends in the summer, so maybe he'd negotiate a release from Chelsea - and then be available on a short term deal. Can't see it happening, but if his motivation is to get into France's World Cup squad then he may prefer a club playing well than a team willing to pay more wages.

It sounds ridiculous however I do think the Prince wants to make a statement signing. Richard Caddette mentioned in one of his updates pre-season that the prince wanted us to make a foreign signing. I think he's going to want to make a statement this window or next.

West ham yes... I reckon he is too good for Turkey, he could go to China for ridiculous wages post-WC... I could also see him going to Italy, maybe Napoli or ACM

My favourite bit is that his mate's family founded Chelsea. Just drop that in. Nice and legit.

"In 1904, Gus Mears acquired the Stamford Bridge athletics stadium with the aim of turning it into a football ground. An offer to lease it to nearby Fulham was turned down, so Mears opted to found his own club to use the stadium. As there was already a team named Fulham in the borough, the name of the adjacent borough of Chelsea was chosen for the new club; names like Kensington FC, Stamford Bridge FC and London FC were also considered.[11] Chelsea were founded on 10 March 1905 at The Rising Sun pub (now The Butcher's Hook),[2][12] opposite the present-day main entrance to the ground on Fulham Road, and were elected to the Football League shortly afterwards. Brian Mears took over as chairman following the death of Len Withey in 1969 and presided over the club's successful period in the early 1970s, when the FA Cup and Cup Winners' Cupwere won in consecutive seasons.[1] He remained in the position until 1981, when a boardroom coup d'etat led by Viscount Chelsea saw him removed with the club in a dire position both on and off the pitch, mainly a result of the disastrous attempt to redevelop Stamford Bridge during the 1970s.[1] He sold the club to Ken Bates a year later for a nominal sum of £1. Mears came under fire when his shares in the Stamford Bridge freehold were later sold to property developers Marler Estates; he insisted that it was his wife who controlled the shares.[2]

After leaving Chelsea, Mears relocated to the United States, where he was involved with several North American soccer teams and ran a car dealership in Long Beach, California.[2]He wrote several books on Chelsea. Despite befriending Chelsea director Matthew Hardingand chairman Bruce Buck in later years, he never set foot in Stamford Bridge again [3]

Mears married June Ware in 1955 and they had two children: a son, Christopher; and a daughter, Suzanne. Through Suzanne, Mears was the father-in-law to former footballer Steve Wicks and grandfather to Wicks' son Matt.

Hmmmmmm, who mentioned this before!!!!!?????

We paid £17 million for Oli McBurnie, who plays the Giroud role, with less wages, permanently with resale value, near 11 years younger and can also hold the ball up, if not too effectively yet.

Ludicrous.

Has anyone mentioned that he's knocking on, he's on a fortune a week, and that he doesn't score?
They have?
Oh, good.

It maybe just a rumour but not out of the equation in my opinion..
No way would we pick up his full wages but he wants to play football if reports are right.
European championships next summer so he needs games to get in the French squad.we could strike up a deal with his club.
As for Mcburnie what a chance for him to learn off a proven premiership and international player.
Maybe all rubbish but unless some club comes in and is willing to pay his wages a loan deal is not out of the question.
Wilder has brought in a big striker on both promotion run In's ! It wouldnt surprise me.

Not a prayer of this happening unless...

He took a massive cut in wages
+
He would be interested
+
Wilder is interested in him

Just can't see that any of the above are true never mind all of them.
