Played from the start again tonight for Vale (0-0). Didn’t see the game but sounds like he performed well again. Keep it up Blaster, we really hope you come back and be a top player for your boyhood team.

Here’s another couple:
an analyse the game all you want, but the entire match shifted the minute Ollie Arblaster entered the game.

We're the better side whenever he's on the pitch, and the poorer side whenever he's off it (Charlton, last 30 at Blackpool, first 60 tonight). When he starts, it's 4 wins and a draw.

I've not seen a midfielder as intelligent as he is at Port Vale in the 20 years I've been attending. Every decision is bang on. When the ball needs moving to the side, he does so. When he needs to break lines, he does so. He reads the game beautifully and is always in the perfect position to receive a pass. His first touch is lovely and he uses this to glide past opposition players. Nothing is rushed, everything looks easy.

From the minute he came on, he ran the show. Everything was orchestrated by him. He set the tempo, decided where the attacks would start, and often played the final ball (as he did for Wilson's great chance late on).

If he starts, we win that comfortably. At 19, he's amongst the most talented central midfielders we've had in the 21st century - I'm quite comfortable in saying that. He'll dip in form, as he's young, but its a genuine pleasure to watch him play football and I sincerely hope we're lucky enough to watch him control football games for the entire season. Absolutely enamoured.

hate to say it but if he carries on he wont be here in January. The lads a genius and a premier league midfielder in the making if not one already. Genuinely believe if he stays all season we have a chance of play offs

Great to hear he’s doing so well there! Shame some of the other young uns haven’t been able to go out yet and get similar experiences.

He was ready for the premier league this season but (tin hat on) Mr Adventurous didn’t see it that way. He should be back here on a long contract learning from the best and changing games for us. Cole Palmer at Man City who people are getting excited about a possible loan is 18 and with their first team squad. Macatee is 20.

What do we think Blades? Keep him at Vale, Loan him out to Championship or bring him back in January?

Let the lad play regular men’s football ffs. Sounds like he’s doing alright but fuck me he’s played against Crewe, Carlisle and Charlton and some want him playing prem football.

We’ve seen what happens with Osula and Jebbo when you leave youth players to rot on the bench they don’t develop. Only reason we should recall him is if a championship club offers him regular football on loan.

One for the coupon this season Vale, just signed Alfie Devine on loan from Spurs another top young talent.

If he's enjoying being at Vale, doing well for then, and his games developing he should definitely stay for the season in my view.

A quote from a Vale fan on thefootballforum.net after their win over Crewe:

"What I will note is how good of a loan Ollie Arblaster is, I have always looked on in frustration as we never seen to get a decent loan to work out whilst Bristol Rovers get Anderson or Newport Twine etc but finally we've fallen on a really good one, he is unbelievable for this level, wont be many, if any better loanees this season in the division, he is arguably the best midfielder in terms of quality we've had since being in the second tier, Sheff United fans were buzzing about him but you always seem to get that when you loan one from a parent club's fans but he is an absolute joy to watch and we have to enjoy him whilst we have him... going to be a nervous January that's for sure. 19 years old and just comes on last night and again controls the whole midfield."

Well done, Oli! Keep it up!

I just hope we don't make the mistake we did with Jebbo we should leave Oli at Port Vale for the season.

Let him get the minutes under his belt

My bestest mate supports the Vale. Says he’s head and shoulders above every other fucker. I’ll probably catch a game or two as I usually go to a couple of their away games when United are either sold out or not playing. Got more incentive to now.

He is brilliant. Played with such maturity after losing his grandpapa and is a true blade.
