And yet still better than watching Norwood and Fleck struggle to get round the pitch, which seems to be the alternative. Or watching Tiny Ben work it on to his left foot to do a step over/turn inside and then pass back to the goalkeeper.
Yes the kids might struggle
Yes Slimane might not be 10/10 for recovery runs but lets have a look shall we?
We are going down anyway so lets find some decent players for the championship.
I'd like to see more of Peck and One as I think both could offer something. Maybe Buyabu and Seriki? All seem to be athletic.
It doesnt matter (to the club in the long run) if a few younger players dont make the step up and fall by the way side. But lets try something different.
Perhaps CW still thinks we may stay up. Once we cannot then we can experiment as long as it doesn’t affect the integrity of the PL

Since our disastrous 2010 relegation season, these are the players with a single appearance for the club as well as those who have only ever been named as a substitute.

Hackford ?
Another one that some folk were advocating as the second coming following his PL debut (2 years ago ?) albeit with a subsequent significant injury

He had a couple of sub appearances for us at the start of this season.

Jake Wright is at Buxton with Diego.

Jordan Hallam was a major disappointment. Great record at youth levels and I thought he played really well in Duffy's role on his debut, but he's struggled at senior level ever since.

CJ Hamilton was one who never made his debut for us, presumably never made the squad either? But he's gone on to have a good career, and has even played for Ireland. Jake Young just had short period in our academy, but is the current League Two top scorer. Are there more like them?

I was more impressed that Wilder actually went to watch a LG1 game on his day off. I never heard of Hecky going to any games.

Why is it that suddenly everything Wilder is doing is great, has everyone conveniently forgotten the last season that he was with us. The one where we were utter shite and negative and the World had suddenly started revolving around Chris Wilder.
He is back now and good luck to him but I haven’t forgotten the way he left

I don't think anyone has forgotten but by the same token maybe we shouldn't allow 6 months of a poor season in a bonkers time in world history undo 4 seasons of absolute quality that preceded it.

Agreed, but I also don’t believe that Hecky needs a load of negativity, (although it was time for him to go) , as he had to navigate a lot crap off the pitch and behind the scenes that others wouldn’t have handled as well.

Fair points made and the way he walked out has left a bitter taste with me as well.

However, from what I gather, fair play to CW regards Arblaster. Long story but he got involved in OA’s well being because apparently things didn’t go well at Stoke Hospital.

Ignore the troll, CopenhagenBlade

Play the kids” is basically the same as “Bring back national service”. Emotional responses to a problem that they feel can easily be plugged.

I don't know why United don't watch everybody train and just play the best people on merit, can be adjusted by how they perform in matches.
No wonder we seem to be shite if we only pick youth or those with experience based on those criteria.

Not everyone likes to wallow in misery

With Davies coming back and he won't be fit for a month or so I do wonder how much time he will get on the pitch. There's only going to be 15 or so league games for him to be involved in.

You'd imagine that he'll be on the bench, tasked with pushing Hamer in particular. I'm hoping that this news, combined with the return of Davies, spells the end for Fleck and Norwood.

Right decision. Clearly someone we will need in the Championship and right to get him integrated into the first team squad now.
On the basis of his debut at Cardiff looked to have an obvious confidence about him which is half the battle for a young player.

Obviously happy he's coming back but we need to ensure it doesn't turn into another Jebbison situation when he was brought back early from Burton...
