Right around my first match. Do I recall that there was a gap of some years before the club moved the admin and player facilities out of John Street and in to the NSS?

Seem to recall the players running out of John Street for quite a long time before emerging from the other side, which for years was a long way from the touchline.

But, it's been a long time and memories fade, conflate and confuse.

Sounds about right; the dug-out was definitely still on the John Street side in the 1980-1981 relegation season; my dad and his Firth Brown workmates used to congregate behind the dug-out and give Haslam and Peters, and before that, Sirrell, "advice".
