I can see two of my mates houses!, and the "Horse and Groom" pub, bottom, left.

I have to say SEB, I have no idea where you found the time to take so many pictures as a lad..........

Never mind the photos, I'm trying to remember where I got the plane for this one as I would've been about 5. :)

I can't remember either. Had a bar on the left where you'd go for an after time drink. Used to get packed until they put a stop to it. Good food though. Was in once when a well known "character" from Sheffields West Indian community came in to collect some money owed to to him. What followed was like a wild west brawl consisting of him against most of the waiters and kitchen staff. He must have knocked every single one of them on there arse at least twice before he was forced out by five or six of them hitting him with kitchen pans. He left saying he'd be back!

They not surprisingly decide to close - most of the clientele had fled in terror - and gave the few remaining tables a bill for half eaten meals! Despite watching what had happened, everyone politely told them to fuck off. We ended up with a free drink so we'd come back again. Considering who they'd upset, that risk wasn't worth taking.

D-Man?

Well, rules and regulations were a bit less stringent back in those days, hence everyone driving to Derbyshire on a Friday night, having seven or eight pints and then driving home!

Manor Top, if I remember right

Yep. Fine Fare was one of the first supermarkets in Sheffield. The same site later housed Netto then Asda. Challenge supermarket was across the road in the old cinema house, I think it's a Poundland now.

, rather the large greyish old looking building on the upper left, some distance behind the brewery..

Is it the back of Thos W Ward's works on Saville Street? Their office building is still there but the factories have gone.
