That fixture (21 Oct 72) notable for Ian Holmes having a goal disallowed in the first minute for a marginal offside and then Steve Goulding hitting the underside of the bar with a long range effort. Neither ever scored an actual goal for United. We lost 1-0. Highlights on YouTube.
Yes, it is in my 72/73 thread

Bit of a strange one but does anyone have a picture of the away end from the view of the kop - before the new away stand was put in place around 2004-06.

Also would like to know if those pillars at the bottom of the old away stand are still there but has the seating been lifted and brought forward so to speak?

Trying to accurately date this team group. I was thinking start of 1974-75 fits with Garbett, Ogden and Bradford?

There were two black players playing for our reserves in the 1970s. George Oghani and Ian Benjamin. George left us around 1977 without playing in a first team match, he played for Bolton and Burnley in the 1980s. Ian played 5 first team matches for us scoring 3 goals (2 penalties in his debut) before moving to WBA for a big fee. He wasnt a success at WBA and then played at Peterborough, Northampton, Southend and many other clubs. Dont know if they played for England Youth?
George Oghani was signed from Man U and was put in my form at Abbeydale Grange,I dont remember him standing out on the pitch in PE tbh

The Pump House in Harrogate. I used to work about 300 yards from here in Windsor House, a lovely old Victorian hotel just up the hill on Cornwall Road across from the park. Lovely place, happy days...
