About 67 I would think, The Bramall Lane stand is there and so is the cricket pitch so I would guess pre 73.Between 1966 - 1974
Best picture I could find of Cross Guns on Sharrow Lane - First Legal - 12.05 17 May 1974 - I got bought a pint of Tetley's, thought I was going to throw up - wanted lager never liked Tetley's, probably the worst beer in the world!

Apparently Michael Jackson and John Landis got the idea for the Thriller video after witnessing chucking out time at The Link on a Friday Night.
That'd be the Red Lion across Duke Street.
My uncle had the new Inn on duke street for 12 years early 90's.To be honest they were all pretty awful pubs. The Parkway featured on a sky tv programme about the roughest pubs in the country.

Never went in The New Inn so can`t comment on what it was like. The ones on the flats were "character building " for those that frequented them and also for the people who lived in the flats above them.

I The Cherry Tree is a pub I've never been in. I drive past it occasionally and it looks a run-down God-forsaken hovel of a place. I've often wondered what sort of life-forms frequent it thesedays? Given that you've got decent options within walking distance of there, who in their right mind would drink in there - and why? If there's anyone on in here who is in their right mind, maybe they'll tell us?
They weren't that bad in the early seventies. In fact the Link had a busy lunchtime food service, quite upmarket that office workers etc would travel too. That's when Colin was landlord.
