Long shot by any stretch but anyone know of any spares? Or anyones brothers sisters cousins uncle cant get? I cant get my ticket while 1pm but cant see it going the distance? Any help would be great! Cheers

Said it before on here but will again.

Disagree with this and anyone who helps you out as all it does is fuck another Blade over who is more deserving of that ticket.

Should only buy a ticket with your own loyalty points if you're going yourself.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with asking the question it's not 'doing over other blades', but unfortunately mate you haven't got a chance. I've been searching high and low

I'm also in the 1pm bracket and I haven't got a prayer.

Actually, it is.

Imagine if it would have otherwise got to your loyalty point level but instead there's about 100 Blades that managed to get a ticket despite having less loyalty points than you.

This debate has been done to death! I can't make every game due to work commitments, does that make me a lesser blade or not as loyal? I don't think so. I haven't tried to get a ticket through the back door but can't blame anyone for trying.
Anyway, as my status says, it's only a first world problem.....

No fair way of doing it. It's like MK dons...fans getting tickets through mates and family while others who go more but not often enough to get one Miss out.

That's life.

Was MK Dons not one ticket per person? Don't family and friends have to have the requisite points as well?

It makes you less deserving of a ticket than those who have attended more games than you, yes.

For that reason you shouldn't get a ticket unless it reaches your loyalty point level.

Not difficult is it really.

Not saying it won't happen. I know it will and you can understand it a little more when you're letting a close friend or family use your points but that doesn't mean I can't disagree with it.

I didn't say I deserved a ticket, that's why I've not tried to get one. If others want to try that's up to them.
PS I've been going since 1981 and watched us in every division....through thick and thin

I missed out, but accept that I can't have a ST due to work mainly. Therefore I agree that those who have gone week in, week out through the shit years, should be rewarded for their loyalty. Folk like me miss out, but it really is fair.
But on a one to one basis only. One fan...one ticket.

I'm speaking generally about the others who don't bat an eyelid about fucking other Blades over.

P.S. Good for you

Being a season-ticket holder for at least 20 years straight isn't enough to get me a ticket; they'll be gone before I can apply tomorrow, but fair play to the club and the system; those who follow them to all the away games (predominantly young and certainly the vast majority younger than me) deserve to get ahead of me. I went to all the games in S6 before there was any need for loyalty points, and had lots of fun sometimes sitting in that 1966 stand pretending to be a neutral, with a big smile tucked into my coat-collar. I'd be really miffed if I was back in my youth going to the away games, and then found out some had got ahead of me in the queue for this one.
Enjoy the match guys, and give 'em a bloody great cheer for me; I hope you get to sing "Always look on the bright side of life" to a sea of sad faces.

Should we start a group for willing pig stand invaders? In the past they have sectioned us off for our safety after getting into the wrong stands??

This debate, as mentioned, has been done to death. When demand outstrips supply, loyal fans will always look for other ways to see the game, whether its getting a ticket from a mate who can't go, someone who knows a player or someone with corporate access. The system aint perfect. Is that too difficult to understand?

Saying that anyone who is asking about spare tickets is "fucking other Blades over" is an insult to fellow Blades who only want to support their team. You can disagree but don't resort to insults

I spoke to a pig mate about this, he says no chance. He's convinced it will sell out easily. Plus you have to be a member to buy a ticket.

There were 15 people in front of me when I started queuing at 7.30 am and reckon there were about 30 behind me when the ticket office opened at 9am

They have changed to Limited on the Online booking system, can't be many left now.

Just sit in the Wednesday end and keep your mouth shut.

Is it not the loyalty system that is screwed?

It needs to be capped surely. I purchased 6 tickets at 9am today because i lost my bottle. We need 8 and the last 2 can't get until 1pm today. Weirdly the last two have gone to more away games over the past few seasons than 4 of the others that got them at 9am.

I've had a check on a couple of other club websites:

Liverpool away at Leicester in the Carabao Cup:
Tickets will be available online to Season Ticket Holders, Official Members and Fan Card Holders based on attendance at the following League Cup away fixtures:
Southampton (11.01.17), Derby County (20.09.16), Burton Albion (23.08.16), Stoke (05.01.16), Southampton (02.12.15), Chelsea (27.01.15), Bournemouth (17.12.14)...

So they're rewarding people that attended some away fixtures in the League Cup.. I wouldn't be able to get tickets, for example, the only League Cup games i have been too in the last god knows how many years were Southampton and Spurs.

Liverpool away at Leicester in the League:

Tickets will be available to Season Ticket Holders, Official Members and Fan Card Holders based on attendance at Premier League away fixtures during Season 2016-17 on the following days:

Attendance at 5 games: From 8.15am on Friday September 8 until 10.45am on Monday September 11.

Attendance at 4 or more games: From 11am on Monday September 11 until 10.45am on Tuesday September 12.

Attendance at 3 or more games: From 11am on Tuesday September 12 until 10.45am on Thursday September 14.

Attendance at 2 or more games: From 11am on Thursday September 14.

So, again, this is an away fixture so they are rewarding Season Ticket holders and fans that actually attend AWAY games.

Arsenal at Watford (they have different membership levels which isn't the best policy potentially as the more well off people could stand a better chance, however, they still insist on "AWAY Points"):
Priority booking Period No.1
Tickets for this fixture are currently on sale until Wednesday 13th September 2017 @ 2:30pm to Platinum, Gold or current Travel Club members with 45+ Away points.

Priority booking Period No.2
Any remaining tickets will go on sale on Wednesday 13th September 2017 @ 3pm until Thursday 14th September 2017 @ 9.30am to Platinum, Gold or current Travel Club members with 40+ Away points.

(All tickets are subject to availability)

Priority booking Period No.3
Any remaining tickets will go on sale on Thursday 14th September 2017 @ 10am to Platinum, Gold or current Travel Club members with 35+ Away points.

PIGS:
Get 10 points per fixture attended - home or away regardless of opposition. So a season ticket gets you 230pts. However:
The points that fans accumulate will be on their accounts for two seasons. As the third season begins, points accumulated during the first season will be wiped. The points system will begin at the start of the 2012/13 season.

The pigs system rewards people that are currently attending games. Not the legacy fans that have accrued thousands of points like us.

Both Liverpools and the Pigs systems above seem to be fairer than ours.

I shouldn't complain mind you as I have never not got tickets for a game i wanted to attend because i have had a season ticket since the loyalty system started. But the pigs game is my first away day of the season so why should i get a ticket ??

In this scenario only it helps to have 5 friends who are members who already have tickets due to knowing someone's sisters uncles dog walkers newsagent who got em them for nowt! Basts haha

There are more sixty plus year olds going away than you may think. It's just you don't hear about us because we can't reach the air conditioning ducts without a stepladder, polyester is dangerous around flares and cocaine reacts badly with blood pressure medication and insulin.
