The thing is, the stats suggest that we do have that sort of strike force...

Clarke and Sharp (2017-18): 19 and 14 goals respectively

Deane and Agana (1989-90): 21 and 10 goals respectively.

Can you imagine the reaction now though if we purchased a Doncaster Rovers reserve and a Watford reserve.
Yet the best two strikers I have seen, certainly as a partnership and worked brilliantly together. They were never the same for other clubs, Agana especially.

I go a little dewy eyed at the mention of Deane and Agana. Described at the time as Bassetts black pearls. Having met both, I would say diamonds is nearer the mark. Top players and top top blokes. What a partnership.

Appreciate what you have while you have it because when Sharp and Clarke retire we'll bloody miss them. Up there with any United partnership in my opinion.

Reyt pair of professionals, reyt classy bastards. I hope they stick around and train the next lot, two of the greatest goals I've ever seen at the Lane last season from those two, Bill's against Leeds and Leon's second (I think) against Hull, the one from a ridiculous angle.

Correct. I recall Tony made 145 games for County and got 15 goals.
