Nathan byrne
Ronald messi maradona ronaldinho and zidane all rolled into one

When hes up against Bob Harris

Cheating - but the best performance I've seen by an opposition L1 player was a certain Mark Duffy terrorising us for Scunthorpe.

George Baldocks performance at Bramall Lane, closely followed by Ricky Holmes.

I meant this season! I agree Byrne was fantastic 2 years ago. But I hardly recognised him when he played against us this season / he was pretty ordinary at best.

Players who caught my eye this season included

Etheridge - Wallsall - worth 6 points to Wallsall just in the games against us, probably kept them up given they only finished 9 points above the drop zone.
Holmes - Charlton, good goal, good busy player
Devante Cole - Fleetwood - a handful all night at the lane
Henderson - Rochdale, this was a long time ago , but my recollection was he was a very mobile attacking midfielder and ran the show
Evans - Chesterfield ;) - glad when he got subbed
Ranger - Southend - 24 minute cameo, but he made our defence look hopeless that night

THe league one years Luke Murphy -Crewe ,ripped us to bits ,Alex Cisak-Orient great keeper and James Hanson -Bradford , just couldn't handle him.
This season Peter Vincenti - Rochdale ,Tope Obedeyi - Oldham and Marcus Maddison -Peterboro

At last! someone with a sensible answer. Agree with most of those mate. Didn't see the Southend game (thankfully) so can't comment on Ranger, but all the others stood out. I'd like to see us sign that Everedge person as I'm sure they'd be better back up than George Long.

Ozthumer, Holmes and Etheridge put in the best performances at the lane this season.

Josh Morris is clearly a quality player but didn't notice him when we played them.

Agree on Evans at Chesterfield too. He put in a great shift. Wonder if it was to prove his worth?

Carruthers too. I was glad when he got injured.

Ranger is such a waste. Obvious talent, with physicality and pace to match, but an absolute liability. On the pitch he seems to behave himself, but how many times has he been arrested?

There's a handful:-

Matt Ritchie at Bournemouth
George Friend at Donny Rovers
Jordan Rhodes at Huddersfield
Karl Ikeme at Wolves
Dele Ali at MK Dons

All were quality.
Which game did Rhodes impress you in ?,I've watched him a few times I'm still waiting to see him touch the ball

Strangely i didnt rate ali in L1. as in 2 games i saw him he was bit anonoymous. But goes to spurs & is outstanding

Thought he looked really good in that ugly 1-0 that Franchise had at the Lane the season they went up. Sort of showed that night that the kid had bollocks as well as ability.

Otzumer at Walsall, we lost 4-1

Madison at Peterborough, we won 1-0 but he showed flashes of why he is so highly rated.

Holmes at BDTBL, great free kick goal, and showed pace and guile

Mendez Laing - BDTBL, built like a boxer but with pace, hard to stop

Holmes was good for the first 20 minutes at the Lane, second half he did nowt and his shooting from open play was atrocious.

Yes, he's scum unfortunately.

We've already signed one off my list, Etheridge and Holmes would also be worth a punt, especially given Wilder knows Holmes well from Northants.

I should also have had Otzumer on my list but I still wouldn't sign him for the Championship

Guess with hindsight & spurs. Im doing him a disservice. As looking im expecting to do the damage & goals in league 1 like he does now in premier league. Bit like kane & vardy. The higher level suits them better as both them werent proflic in lower leagues (vardy at leicester not fleetwood) but then banging them in tbe premier league

Ben Reeves at MK Dons, good technique, nice left foot could be a top Championship player.
