Not being negative but I now think Boro will take 2nd now šŸ˜”

We play to our strengths, solid defending clean sheets and the odd sprinkling of quality to create shots on target, just enough to gather points.

LONG MAY IT BE SO

8 wins out of last 13 will ensure us going up as boro would have to win all their last 12
Challenge is we're coming up against a disproportionate number of sides in the top half of the table in the run-in who are also chasing promotion; many of which will come and park the bus at the Lane or fancy their chances of an upset at their place.

That said, just realised, we could relegate Warnock 🤣

No we are not we play 4 if the bottom 6 and you don't think teams will park the bus for boro .boro have lost 9 of 18 away games.
We play all of our games except Burnley are against teams below us is how you should look at ir

Or you could say that we play teams that need the points as much as we do to keep in the play off picture so they're not going to come and park the bus as draws aren't very helpful, and I'd back us to go toe to toe with anyone.

UTB

its in our hands though isnt it and it will be interesting to see how boro react to yesterdays defeat and us winning their fans were certainly getting a bit too cocky after they beat us know weve got some tough away games coming up but i think we could get at least a point in some of those games

"Bollocks" is swearing. Ban him, Foxy.

Scarebus does dine at the top table.

Every year I age, I turn my music up another notch; always one louder, you see.

I still don't think you have actually understood the whole "of" and "have" thing. The English language is a beautiful thing, and you are committing crimes against it.
The correct answer is ā€œwho gives a f#ā€kā€

You can’t win then all
yes and thats why boro are still big underdogs in this race for 2nd we could be back to a 4 point gap next saturday with boro at home and united facing a tough fixture at blackburn but boro cant afford many more slip ups with only 12 to play i reckon boro have to win 9 out of their last 12 games and that wont be easy especially if we can pick our game up good signs against a dangerous watford side that we are getting back on track

Think we need a View From Boro every week to gauge their fans mental attitude. My sphincter is already doing overtime with Boro but mark my words, Luton! Just check out @ucandomagic’s thread on stats. They have an easier run in than anyone and it makes their game at BDTBL with us HUGE

Agree
Boro have already won something like 10 out of their last 12, which is an incredible run but guess what?
They now need to go on another incredible run of 9 or 10 wins from their last 12.
It’s too much to ask, even Man City would really struggle to achieve this, if they do manage to finish 2nd then they deserve all the plaudits.

Wilder has played another blinder for us, being so poor at Boro has given us a head start,

I’ve checked their forum, they’ve all calmed down now
It wasn’t just yesterdays result but also the display. WBA were definitely the better team and could have won by more.
The vast majority think the autos have gone and they’re now focussing on the play-offs.

That might be the fans view, I suspect the management and players will still believe automatic is there if they can take an opportunities we might give them.

theres the rub , the thing we need tom today is just maintain our level

whether avoiding relegation or going for promotion you have to raise your game .... which we did v Watford
the fact we are playing teams with a play off chance means its 2 teams uinder pressure , not just us

Definite improvement from us. Players were in the right mindset and giving it ago. We do need that work rate and we need to improve our movement and passing in the final third. We could have been 2 or 3 up in the first half. Just not clinical enough. Left them in the game and the last goal mouth scramble was like pinball.

Watford back 4 were poor. I haven't seen McBurnie win so many headers. Overall he had a decent game. On the other hand from midfield up Watford look to have a decent squad But from a a work rate perspective they look like they will get another manager sacked. For large portions of the match they were disinterested.

few more twists and turns to go in the season. just think how boring it would be if 2nd spot was already gift wrapped :)

The 9 wins would give Boro 84 points - to match that we only need 6 wins and 2 draws from 13. Doable!

Doable but finishing 2nd should be our priority, not finishing above Boro. Millwall,Luton and Blackburn all on similar points to Boro if games in hand are won, and all in the top 7 and above us in the form table for last 6 games.

If we can beat Blackburn sat, then by 15:00 when Michael Carricks (the new best manager in England) galacticos kick off, we will be 10 points clear with a game in hand with just the 12 games to go. I don't think Middlesbrough will like that very much.

6 more wins
Being saying it all season
Dem Blades are going up
Unfortunately I also predicted
Dum pigs 🐷 to go up as well
We play early on satdi win that , as our game in hand that’s back to 10 points

We’d be 10 points clear having played the same amount of games as them by the time they kicked off.

Good point, but by 5pm we will be 10 points clear of them having played a game less....hopefully

If we can match Boro’s result on Saturday, and win against Reading its game over in my view, 10 points will be far too much to catch up at this stage of the season. This is why I want us to play a second string against spurs, the next 2 league games are absolutely pivotal for us, and the FA cup is a distraction at this stage.

I’d go as far as saying the next 2 league games could decide the immediate and medium term future of the club.

The truth is in this division, most teams swap points at this stage of the season. We've all seen this before. Form.and reputation all go out the window match by match. As frontrunners, you would settle for winning more than you lose and it should be enough. But despite Saturdays redusly, Boro have looked outstanding. I think it's more a question if they can keep that up.and the pressure on. That's more my concern. Because I would expect us to drop a few points at this stage.

add to that the fact that a few teams are closing in on boro for that 3rd spot thats more pressure on em and law of averages says their not going to win 10 out of their last 12 games
