He’s not been good, but he’s been the best of the current midfield three this season.
But the "best" of poor still means poor.

Love that, in what possible way could McBurnie be viewed as a successful signing? I was one of the ones clamouring for him to join, and still hold hope he can come good, but there’s absolutely nothing to suggest he’s been a worthwhile addition yet - particularly over the last 40 odd games when he’s been nothing but absolute dogmuck.
Absolutely this. I take on board that goal scoring chances have been few and far between for all the forwards but he's just a poor player, end of. Criminal waste of money.Love that, in what possible way could McBurnie be viewed as a successful signing? The main reason we dont score is we play in our own half ,we are so deep that we dont get chance to get numbers together in attack ,all the players have proven ability ,the manager/coach and tactics are the problem. Match the 11 last week against the 11 of luton man for man ,managed well we should piss it.The sheer volume of bewildering and pointless statistics now available make it easy for people to select one or two to back up a viewpoint. We have the above, our possession stats and the best dribbler in the League, yet the oft- told reason as to why our forwards don't score is.....shit midfield.
Oh Ollie Norwood!! I was told today by somebody who knows wilder well that Norwood is finished as footballer and was done so 18 month ago!! From Chris's mouth... So why the fuck give him a new contract, probably rewarding the lads for helping himself get an 80k a week contract double shaun dyches by the way!! Oh an he's a shoein for the forest job
they havent done that for 15 months so no point norwood being as deep as he has been we were basically playing with a back 6 for most of last seasonIt's where the Rolls Royce played too and was key to allowing Bash and JOC to get forward.
Surely it’s only a failure if he is missing most chancesNorwood’s legs have gone. His set piece delivery, beating the first man or not, is poor. He has no power in his shot and when he gives the ball away he can’t get back to atone for the error.
and spare me the more passes crap. It’s Leon Brittonesque knocking it around near the back four. He’s sitting far too deep most of the time.
I hope I’m wrong but my personal view is he’s done.
Oh, and Ollie McBurnie hasn’t scored a goal in 9 months and his goals per game ratio is one in 9. That’s a failure in my book.

Debunking the myth about Ollie Norwood and not beating "the first man"
It's a game of two halves. (No way!) We’re taking each game as it comes. (No, you’re really not). He’ll be as sick as a parrot with that mistake. (I’ve no idea on that one).www.thestar.co.uk
The ping thing though, why are we trying to showboat it out to the wing when we have a forward or two that just want a through ball to run onto..
Hope we can change our style enough to give that poor fucker brewster a look at the fucking keeper.
That's the problem, goals..
He is missing most chances. He’s not getting many, but the ones he is getting, he’s missing.Surely it’s only a failure if he is missing most chances
He scored when we drew in a game against Man Utd almost two years ago. Been missing since July 2020 apart from the odd corner he heads clear (perhaps he should just become a centre half?).Love that, in what possible way could McBurnie be viewed as a successful signing? couldnt agree more complete waste of a shirt and 20m quidI've defended mcburnie as I think there is a player in there but his performance last week was it for me
So half arsed ,no aggression
Nor even making aerial challenges in fact ducking out of them.at the last second
Throwing himself to the ground instead of getting stuck in
He has become symptomatic of our lack of confidence but to play yourself back into form you have to do the basics and work hard and he isn't so he won't
I know I have shown to be not McBurnie's biggest fan in the past but totally agree. I like to do comparisons and the "good solid goalscorer" test for me that player is Jon Stead who scored 143 goals in 626 appearances which is over 2 goals in 10 games over the course of a season you should be in double figures with assists too. If you're strikers can't get into double figures in the Championship you are always going to be struggling unless you have a good defence.Norwood’s legs have gone. His set piece delivery, beating the first man or not, is poor. He has no power in his shot and when he gives the ball away he can’t get back to atone for the error.

Man of the match today,, has ping was on song today. I think he should have stayed on.
More options, better movement=improved NorwoodGood today I must admit. The corners were still awful, but a big improvement.
