RND been called up to the Wales squad. Pleased for the lad as I've always had a soft spot for him. Seeing how heartbroken he was being stretchered off at Luton in the PL just made me like him more. Really hope he can kick on this season.
Fair play to the kid.

Don't mind the lad, but it shows how far we've sunk that he's now considered a player who will be in and around the starting XI.
Before his injury he was a good player who was getting better and his selection for Wales is indicative that he is seen again as a player who is getting back to his best

In fairness, he's our third choice left back and fifth or sixth choice CB.
Exactly this. He’s not the sort of player you want to go out and recruit so it makes sense keeping him around IF he can keep himself fit.

I actually think McCallum and RND combining and alternating between defending and attacking was one of the bright spots of the Blackburn game. The left hand side looked dangerous at times in the first half.
McAllum had a nightmare v Wolves. I think we need to play 3 at the back like on Sunday but with Burrows and Seriki (when both r fit) providing the attacking width from wing back

And at Cov.
He was playing really well at the time.

Yeah he had an absolute shocker but I think it was as much in his own head out of a desire to win the game and atone for the ridiculous own goal.

He at least showed some willingness to run, use his body and get stuck in.

His team mates are equally to blame, if not more. There should have been more than enough on that pitch last night to dig their mate out of a howler like that but they created absolutely nothing and half of them probably feel relived that he had suck a stinker and made the mistake to take the spotlight off them.

The lad isn’t at the required level to be a top player in the championship anymore but I’m not blaming him for last night and don’t think he deserves hanging out to dry.

Agreed there, to be fair, why isn't Cooper either coming out to collect/punch this or shouting at RND that he has 2 on and to flick away.

I don't like criticising RND as he's had more than his fair share of bad luck over the last few years, but he had a shocker last night. In fairness they all did, but his head goes once he's made a mistake and it's all downhill from there.

Hr doesn't seem capable at wingback any more due to his hamstrings so I was hoping he'd end up being a solid full back but I'm not so sure any more.

What the fuck is Doherty doing for the initial cross in. He's 10 yards away from his man and turns his back on the cross. That's a schoolboy error. Then McGuinness doesn't deal with the cross in the box. Felt sorry for RND but his appearances always seem to feature a calamity of disastrous proportions, so hopefully he never plays for us again

Yeah the defence was shocking that pass has gone a hell of a long way past our RB, 2 CB's and left Cooper stranded flatfooted for some reason. It was a decent cross but it was almost like a free kick in the time and space he had.

He had a shocker for the goal and OG's happen, but i never feel comfortable with him defending one on one or when the ball comes into the box like that for the goal last night.

A couple of seasons ago, away at Barnsley, he was terrorised by Barnsley, he looked lost. We didn't see that as much last night and he has regained some of the confidence he'd lost before he went to QPR on loan. I know the situation we're in, but if we can move him on, it will be for the best for all parties.
