No signings

All advertisments are hidden for logged in members, why not log in/register?


Could it be, there are no players available for sale that the management team want?

Instead of panic buying, they are staying calm (unlike many fans) and plan to use the 2 remaining loans on better quality players that they want, when the premier league teams have announced there squads.

Far from miserable I am just fed up of seeing our club being run like a team with no hope of promotion.

That forward line of ours is worse than any I can remember in the last few decades.

My depiction of very good career and yours look to be slightly off.

He's only ever scored more than ten goals at championship level once.
He had a great season 4 years ago at Cardiff, scoring 20 goals, but only 2 assists.

In fact, I've never really looked into his career stats before, but they're quite worrying when it comes to assists.
1 assist last season.
0 assists the season before.
You have to go back to the 19/20 season to find the last time he assisted more than 3 goals in a season (5, highest of his career)

I'm by no means writing him off based on 3 games.
I'm just saying that I haven't been impressed in those 3 games and worry for the season ahead if that continues to be the theme.

In my personal opinion he should be used as a plan B. We need a better footballer to be our number 1 striker.

If you were an investment company buying a club what would you do?

Option A
Invest very little, not challenge for promotion and gradually lose more and more money every year.
I've even seen some Blades say someone wants to take us over to put us in league 1.
So they seriously think someone is taking us over because they want to lose millions and millions every single year.

Option B
Invest money, give them a great/ realistic chance of promotion, bring in the PL millions
then either sell up at a profit or keep investing to enable the club to remain in the Premier league.

I know it's a difficult choice but if I was an investor I'd go for option B.
Hence why it's common sense the club will be very confident more players (especially a striker) are coming in.
Also they will have been prepared weeks ago that Cannon might not happen, so they'll have 2 or 3 more striker options as backup up.

Some people don't have a clue about real life and the nuances of doing/running a business. It's not fucking binary. No players = penniless charlatans vs Some players = the second coming.
 
So it's looking like what we have, minus souza and anel, will be it for the first half of the season.
The fact that we have hopefully fended off Hamer and Blaster leaving is a pretty good window in my opinion.
Usually by this point we have sold anything worth selling just to get the money in.
No striker is the one bit that concerns me, unless Brewster and Campbell turn out to be legends.....
Up the Blades and can someone close the window early please....

They have been reportedly taking over for months and reportedly in charge now and could easily a have backed the manager but we have done nothing of the sort.

Agree....the new owners WILL have an ambitious strategy.
It's possible they might want to see what we're like once the dust has settled with a view to bringing in players in January for a push in the 2nd half.

One thing I can gaurantee is that the new investors aren't taking over...hoping to get us relegated because they hate us so much that they don't mind losing 100's of millions of pounds with their ultimate mission to see us in league 2.

So you are telling me now our strike force is not worse than last season given we have lost McBurnie Jebbo and Osula and we haven't replaced any of them.

Campbell is not a Centre Forward and is not the answer up front his stats say it all.

But if you think we are better off than last season you are wrong.
