Not sure how to read that. It's like the writer of the article is summising. It doesn't look like Blackies actual quote, nor has blackie said as much elsewhere.

Dickinson is supposed to arrive this coming week on a 12 month loan. i wouldn't call that a short term loan. But we'll see.

I don't know many that would have picked Blackpool to go up at this time last season,its just too early to tell yet.

Where would the cash that Blackwell would have been splashing around come from?

Lets face facts, the Lane isn't awash with cash at this moment in time, so it's sensible not to spend money we can't afford

The Season isnt over, due more to the fact that it hasn`t started yet rather than owt Blackwell has pieced together

It does look likely that the three youngsters Lowton, Chappell, and James are going to be first team squad players. No need to buy in loads more cover in depth, although a couple of potential first teamers would be nice...

Where's the talk I'm hearing of Lowton being loaned out coming from? It sems all positive stuff from him on the back of our paper thin squad. Keeping him seems like a no brainer?

I think this is exactly what the academy should be used for, squad filling. This was why I was/am so against the Kozluk signing, by all means bring in someone to the first team but not someone to warm the bench.

Of course if our academy lads impress then move them up from the bench to first team but this is the area that kills the wage bill, bench warmers pulling in 5-6K a week.

Must admit that having seen James at Mansfield, Burton Rotherham and today I have been very impressed by his performances. Lowton has been getting all the plaudits - and he has done well - but for me James has been excellent.

James and Chappell are there in case of injuries, not yet been added to the squad; unlike Lowton. Good to see ther level of involvement though - still need that left back and extra centre-back.
