The piss was £4 at the FA cup of darts!

In the Stade de France, it was €7 for 500ml of 0.5% Carlsberg. Best thing about it, I saw quite a few people have 2 or 3. I can only assume they thought it was normal strength lager (or they thought they'd get more than €7 for the souvenir 'glasses' on eBay).

:) Yes I saw the same at Lens and St Etienne. Luckily my eagle eyes spotted it before any money was handed over. Think most people were oblivious to it by kick off though especially in St Etienne.

On the original subject, I'll be going. £30 didn't make me spit coffee over my screen and go "HOW MUCH???". I guess that shows something is wrong when £30 for div 3 doesn't shock you but there you go. It would have had to be £40 to get a reaction from me. And like others have said we charge £29 for certain tickets.

Protests need to be national (probably organised by the FSF). I'd prefer to see us sell out but no one spend one penny in the ground. This should be encouraged nationally with the ultimate aim of no fans home or away spending anything in the ground. If you can't manage 2 hours with any food or drink you've probably got issues! I appreciate not spending money at home matches punishes our own club but if it was just away fans doing it would the clubs give a shit? Would it make that much difference to United if MK Dons' 200 travelling fans didn't spend anything??

Its just a way of life, do plenty of other things Sun-Fri.

Me & Mrs Treeton do the odd weekend round Football, London fixtures, we`ll stop down there, or any coastal fixture.

Must admit, I have missed a couple of weddings down the years, which hasn`t gone down well, but that apart am free to do what I want.

There`s people out there who have gone longer than me without missing, and some of the older brigade who used to travel away before we ran coaches.
Now that`s dedication.

I know of a Solicitor from Barnsley who must be in his mid to late 60s now who never misses Dingle matches and when the Dingles aren't Dingling he'll go and watch a match in the Scottish non-league or Devonian minor league or something equally obscure, he's pots for wrags about football and football culture. Sounds like a geek yet he has a much younger very attractive girlfriend, she's also very nice, she must be "pots for wrags" about Geeks

Maybe she has a different way of enjoying her Satdi afternoons

But...get yourselves to the match and support the lads. I'll be in the tiny boozer that sells proper ale. There's a free pint for anyone that says "You are Homer Simpson's pet lobster and I ❤️ Proper Football".

Even if I wear a match worn Nick Montgomery shirt?

Is it my mate Eric? :)

Thought everyone was looking for lost cash at the end of the game but they were collecting the cups ,could be arsed to carry one myself so gave it to a Slovakian bloke who was very appreciative. What did you think to the Stade Coops ,I wasn't impressed ,miles from the pitch and a mare to get in and out. Was it the Poland Germany game you went to ?

I applaud the principle behind the boycott, I really do. BUT, new manager, new season, new start, new hope. Right idea; right place; wrong time.

This game needs to be about the New Blades and a show of uninhibited and fervent support. It may be a false one but it's a new dawn. That has to be the overriding imperative and, for me, far more important, on the day, than a statement about ticket prices. That can be done another time, another place.

For my part, I shall boycott all other Bolton Wanderers home games for the rest of the season.

So, boycotters (sit down Geoffrey, it's not about you) please think again. Your team needs you. Let's turn out in force, eat not a single pie; drink not a single pint (not difficult, it's not beer) and resist the temptation to buy Nat Lofthouse memorabilia. Never ever watch "Take me Out" or videos of someone knocking Amir Khan spark out again.

I'll be with you in that boozer for sure.
Could not drink any of that shit they sell in the football stadiums.

OT but I have come across the extremely weak beer situation before in Europe, at Parken Stadium Copenhagen for an England game, and the Nou Camp for a regular Barca game. I don't see the point - you may as well drink water. I can drink a 2.5% lager if it tastes OK, but it needs to be alcoholic. 0.5% tastes just wrong. We may moan about what's on offer at the Lane, but at least it will get you pissed if you drink enough of it.

Best beer I have come across recently was at NY Red Bulls, they had Stiegl on tap. Not cheap though, about 14 dollars a pint. That's a tenner.

People were walking out with beer snakes of the glasses, obviously collecting them to sell. The other thing I hadn't seen before was people with cardboard signs saying "I collect used tickets" - again these were clearly all going on eBay. Some of them were getting huge piles of them.

I thought the Stade de France was very tired looking for a new-ish stadium - it was like they'd made no effort at all with the aesthetics of it, it was a million miles behind Wembley or the Emirates. We had a good view from our seats though. It's in a terrible area and the police made getting away really difficult. They closed off a footbridge that we (and thousands of others) needed to cross to get away and just point blank refused to answer any questions about why or how long the bridge would be closed for.

Saint-Etienne was brilliant though - great ground, beautiful surrounding areas, the Croatians and the Czechs created a better atmosphere than the Germans and the Poles, it was a cracking game and a pleasure to watch Modric and Rakitic. Needed the toilet quite urgently when the firework went off though!

The Tourtel Twist was another matter - alcohol free, lemon flavoured 'lager'. The most refreshing drink I've ever had and a bargain at €6.50!

Can I make suggestion. Don't boycott the game, they (the team) need the support.

Just don't buy anything inside the ground. No drink or food I mean.

Hit them where it hurts.
Buying no drinks or food inside the ground would be a big financial loss to Bolton and the catering company, thousands of unsold pies etc.... top idea.

For those who are going just some travel information for the day. I won't be there as I'm in Crete (it was cheaper). BoltonGame.png
