Could it not just be that he's swapped the 2 normal overlapping wing backs for two other overlapping wing backs?

Can't blame CW for attempting to find a solution or formation that can work before going back into league mode.

He also (and correctly for me) doesn't want us to be one of the major talking points by being beaten and the even further damage to whatever confidence remains.
