Hickey is predominantly a (right) full back & wouldn’t fit the need for a dominant / physical/ leader & relatively young (23) himself.
Hell of a footballer but hardly played for 2 years following (initial unsuccessful) surgery on a recurring ankle problem.
One of his major attributes is (was?!) pace (allied with excellent reading of the game) - I wouldn’t be especially confident that given the nature & duration of injury he would easily be ‘up to speed’ (literally) any time soon.
Just thought of him due to his flexibility of playing both full back positions and perhaps being down the pecking order. Think he's due back but didn't realise the seriousness of his injury.

They’re not skint. There a lot wealthier than the prince so it’s even more baffling.

Sounds like they need a better structure in place.

They should have at least taken PA's offer of being an advisor. I am sure he did say he offered to stay on and help in some capacity?

The actual owner's though Helmy and COH are they mega rich T? Cos it's unnerving seeing no movement on the market front and seeing stuff about the owners being skint etc, Nevermind you answered the question whilst I was typing
I’ve no idea on their exact wealth but they obviously have money I guess if they were mega rich they wouldn’t need other people with them would they. To be fair from what I’ve heard about Rosen he seems a pretty decent guy. I know wilder and him got along quite well.

That’s what I’m worried about. I don’t think some off them understand what they are even involved in.

I’ve no doubt that’s the case, just look at the amount of American celebrities with minority stakes in football clubs. They aren’t all going to take a big interest in the details of how their clubs are run.

Sounds like they have taken PA's advise he was the one what said you get better deals and better players at the end of the window. We might be in big trouble if we do!

All of this is so baffling 😅 Owner's are wealthy and can back the manager with their funds but leave it all to some Poker Ace? Unless it's cos of his ties with Dunfermline and Cordoba in La liga 2 so they think well here's a guy with some actual club ownership knowledge?

I’m guessing Bord is trying to dictate the signings?
He can't dictate the signings. He owns an AI company we've used for identifying potential young talent. Have we put too much stock in these targets? Maybe. But it's up to the panel to augment this with other inputs, ensure proper checks are done, and ultimately decide who to sign. The problem seems to be the panel isn't working effectively.

Do we think the problem is Jamie Hoyland can't use Outlook properly?

What's happened with this lad then? I thought you mentioned it was as good as done (yesterday?)

It is. Fee agreed and personal terms sorted just trying to get Caceres out which this James Bord is sorting and has got it all under control 🙄

Great but that’s just one 20 yr old. Not sure he classes as one of the CB starters required?

Surely urgency is on a more experienced fk off CB to replace Anel?

Striker?
RB?

What this needs is a Chris Morgan type...

"Nah then, stop chuffin' fannyin' baht and gerritspent. Here you go:

Dunne
Darling
Travis
Dolan
Kone

That wo your bleedin' list, ya set of gret tits. Int difficult. Any lip, al sithi ahtside".

Finally got round to watching some footage of this guy. Think he's going to be really good. Hope we get this over the line. Just give back one of the ESC chaps (Nwankchu or Caceres) to get this done ASAP before someone else does. We'll make back those losses in the long term on this guy.

I think a lot of people on here are putting far too much reliance on this transfer and massively overrating where he is currently.
This would be a development transfer, not someone you'd look to straight in an expect to solve a problem.
He's further back in his development than Bindon, and that's not a criticism just an honest assessment of where he is at a very young age.

This deal shouldn't be our #1 focus, it shouldn't be in the top 3.

Tend to agree. Probably a fairly nominal fee, looks at best a 3rd or 4th choice.

Obviously hard to tell from video footage but I wonder where he's at compared to Baptiste/Sasnauskas, hopefully he's not a blocker to those. I have high hopes for Baptiste, looks a player.
