I was against his appointment and said so at be time. I immediately backed off once we appointed him, other than to rubbish the " in Clough we trust" crap people started stating.
He has a ponderous track record, and it's now clear why. I don't recognise any of the signs that you do ( isn't football great

?) and in fact I'd say a wholesale clear out is what's needed.
I would not pull the trigger unless we could identify a proper manager for once ( ie not one promotion on 17 seasons) . I'd go for Paul Cook now, or give it until Christmas viewing what's available / realistic.
The only way back would be an unlikely promotion or Clough coming out with a statement of why he's made such a hash of his squad building, and identifying a complete reversal in his approach to the game. Of course that's not going to happen.
