Couldn't have put it better myself. It's an encouraging start given his absence in pre-season, and hopefully the start of some consistent quality. Perhaps not worth declaring Mission Accomplished just yet though...

Why am I so certain? Well if you have questioned every player you think isn't going to make it at Championship level, you are excused. because ive never been in a position before when ive had to think about a player who has lost a huge chunk of his career, i hope he proves me wrong i really do, but its a game of opinions and i have my doubts, im delighted he has made a good start tonight, but thats all it is a good start, so forgive me for not getting carried away

I think everyone is right to doubt it tbh. It's an enormous ask to expect any footballer to come back from such an absence and traumatic experience as what this lad has gone through. But he's trying - and I like that! I like it a lot! If it doesn't work out then so what? He's tried and we've tried.
