Keep calm and love Ched

Ched made the difference and was involved in all 3 goals,

Excellent technique for the first goal, it was a half volley, many players would gone for too much power and skied it over the bar but he kept the shot down whilst still getting power. It was going in but richocheted off their keeper and defender.

Ched set up,the 2nd goal, again good technique, took on his man down the edge of the box showing a turn of pace then put in a great cross, very hard cross but kept it low on the ground.

3rd goal, he had his back to goal on the edge of the box and was fouled from behind winning a free kick. We scored from the free kick.

Wait until after the Boro game when the Sharp&Clarke can't play together brigade come back out of hiding and want Evans to start because he got an assist.
Or 2, oh and a goal, sort of.

I'm one of the doubters ,
One 20 minute sub role won't change it either ,
Let's see how he progresses in this league , and hopefully not like his first stint for us in this league ,
I hope he proves me wrong , and finally gets his shit together , and concentrates on what we pay him to do .
I think he's learnt an awfully painful lesson , he's grown up , and realises you don't get 2 many second chances in life .
I've a daughter so I have my own views on the other things he's done in the past .
That's all I'm going to say on that issue .

Every journey starts with the first step. Ched is taking baby steps but he clearly wants to give absolutely everything for our club. He has more than enough for this league under a manager who knows exactly where to play him and how to get the best out of him.
A fit Ched supplied by Coutts/Fleck/Samir and a strike partner will run riot. He has still got the pace and his hunger exceeds every black French striker in the whole of Ligue 2.
He has unfinished business and he is wearing the only shirt in the world he wants to wear whilst finishing it.

I have 2 daughters, and if either one of them acted like the slag Ched went with I'd disown them and top myself for failing them so miserably.
He was innocent of any crime! Fuck morals,we've all shagged a bird we shouldn't have

Likewise mate and it isn't my wish to rehash anything. Ched is innocent of any crime and all I want to see is him resurrect his career, fire us upwards and be fully and loudly backed by our fans.
The morality of what happened that night is now irrelevant. He wouldn't make the top 100 in a league of footballing cunts.
Hope tonight was a positive step for him in becoming a big player for us this season.

Not true, he has a conviction for dishonesty after being found using a mobile phone he claimed to have lost and filed an insurance claim for.

I'm reliably informed it was discovered lodged firmly up your back passage.:)

Shall we just concentrate on his role as a paid employee of SU, doing (or not doing) his job, or shall we invite responses from dame Hill et al ?

FFS move on.

UTB

Absolutely. There is now no case and no validity for treating Ched as anything but a footballer.

Frankly any "moral views" on the matter now belong elsewhere, because the law has spoken conclusively and said Not Guilty.

;)

Let's hope we have to have these discussions every matchdays after a stellar performance :D

Tell me about it. Had £20 on him at 5/1 for the next goal when he came on. :(

Not sure which was the most unlucky, that or the £2 pre-match bet on Lafferty to score last at 28/1.

Ouch. You could have got 20/1 on Walsall h/t United f/t pre-match too. I really should have bet more then £1 on that...

Can just imagine Jean Hatchet rolling around on the floor wailing apologies at a portrait of Valerie Solanas with Patti Smith records playing at full volume.

Jesus wept, it's a f*cking madhouse in here this season.

40 minutes in a league cup tie against Walsall AND HE'S PROVED HIS DOUBTERS WRONG.

wtf?

Of course. Just as Lundstram is confined to the football bin and Brookes, who is worth more than Neymar, should be paid in gold ingots.

His doubters said he was finished

Tonight proves he's not finished and showed qualities that he might be able to contribute positively to our season.
Put it this way tonight he was better than Lavery and Hanson, which is pretty incredible when you think he's hardly played in years.
Logic suggests he'll improve and if he does he'll be a contender.
Of course no one should go overboard, he might still end up a failure buts it's a step in the right direction and he deserves credit for his man of the match performance tonight. The game changed in our favour as soon as Ched came on as sub.

One thing is for sure, he has triggered a load of feminists on Twitter tonight who had forgotten about him. :D
