Next season promotion odds

Bookies have us at about 9/1 to be relegated so about the same odds as promotion and my guess is they don't think we'll solve our scoring problem and will end up mid table.

I think a repeat or bettering of last seasons finishing spot would be a remarkable achievement.

A year of consolidation & sort out the ownership bollocks to kick on next summer should not be sneezed at.

The downside of that scenario is that it would almost certainly mean this will be JOC and Fleck’s last season with us.

My last point is that Wednesday fans always have a hunch that they’ll be the best. Delusions of grandeur, something which Leeds fans are certainly not short of!

I don't think it's that at all. Norfolk says that the team is unbalanced and lacks pace, and he's spot on. But that's been the case for the last three seasons, and it didn't stop Wednesday finishing 6th and 4th.

Last season the club not only suffered a play-off hangover, but also had the worst injury crisis I can ever remember in Sheffield football. Many in this division would have been relegated under such circumstances.

Yet with a smattering of the better players back, the Swine won 6 of the last nine, and hit 20 goals in the process.

Since then Wednesday have lost Hunt and Venancio, which in fairness does change things. Like I said earlier, Wednesday need to offload Westwood and spend on the defence.

The reason I don't think the Owls will trouble the top six is simply because they cannot keep a fit squad for love nor money. Personally I think it's to do with the training facilities, and at least United do keep their players on the pitch. I've criticized McCabe as much as the next man over the years, but he did provide good facilities.

Last May I stuck a tenner us to go up at 7/1 with Skybet. Easy money ;)

that takes some doing on a list that long to pick out leeds and norwich to fail, can the poster pick 43 numbers for the lottery tonight and ill take the other 6
