It’ll be a quick appointment once Selles has gone, two frontrunners…

Rohl with Wilder as DOF would just be so funny, so I’ve gone with that.
I’d rather we got someone new - but given that I wanted Selles, I don’t think I’m well placed to be making suggestions on who the next gaffer should be!
Neither do I, but it would be funnyI don’t believe for one minute Wilder would return with Rohl as manager
Anyone who can sort out the mess that has been left by Selles.A strong manager that can bring the dressing room together. We need a winning mindset in the dugout fastIt’ll be a quick appointment once Selles has gone, two frontrunners…
Just a wild guess but I’d say you’re in the group of fans who got their way in the summer. Anyone but Wilder hasn’t really been a great success has it?1. Alexander Blessin
2. Craig Bellamy
3. Danny Rohl

Yeah the idea of Wilder as DoF is complete nonsense coming from people who don't understand what the role entails.Wilder as DoF would be terrifying. Unchecked access to transfer funds, but none of the benefits of his man management?

With zero points? Need to get. Quality manager in by Monday. Why does it need to be a quick appointment? Surely we can put someone in as caretaker manager and take a bit of time with the appointment.
I agree with much of what you say but it is absolutely not that he is the only manager that could manage us just that he seems to be by far the best possible option available. We can't go back to Wilder, especially for a third time it would be ridiculous. Sticking with this mindset then I'm afraid the next 50 years will be about the same as the last 50 years. He shouldn't be the only manager that can manage us.
I don't have any delusions of grandeur here, I don't expect Sheffield United to be challenging for the PL title or even European football as such (although multiple clubs our size have managed this) - but we have massively underachieved for the past half a century and all I simply would like is to change that, it's not as if we're a club that should't be able to either. Slightly bigger clubs than us have managed to establish in the top flight but also on the flip side quite a few smaller clubs have more than managed this.
Wilder isn't a Premier League manager and has only achieved promotion to it once and there are loads of them down the years that have just the one, heck this even applies to Micky Adams.
I find it a bizarre suggestion and can't remotely see what credentials he has for that roleWilder as DoF would be terrifying. Unchecked access to transfer funds, but none of the benefits of his man management?
Why can't we keep going back (to one of the most successful managers we've ever had) ?I don't want Wilder as we can't keep going back.
If that is the choice they make then fair does though. There needs to be some kind of succession in place though.
We really need a DOF as well.
Would Blessin be interested? Or has that ship sailed?

What does a DOF do ?
Why would we employ Blessing ?
Imagine banner cross next November with them both on tables... Wilder chanting sausage roll, rohl singing "eat your sandwich, eat your sandwich, eat your sandwich in front of him"Neither do I, but it would be funny
