For Northampton i hope it is.Absolutely pointless.
Given public transport starts knocking off around 6 it makes sense to me.
And if you're from Northampton and want to go to the game and then go home for a night out you now can.The last train from Sheffield to Northampton is at 19:55.
It would be quite refreshing to see United post something like this on the website:
"In response to the advice from South Yorkshire Police on changing the kick-off time to 1pm, we have told them to fuck right off and have counter-advised them that their shower of morally corrupt and incompetent set of cunts are the last fuckers on earth who should be advising anyone on crowd control given their "colourful" history."
Why blame the current crop for something that happened 30 years ago?
Aye let's put it right forward to 9am. Then everyone has time to pick an outfit for later, do their hair, have a manicure.....
you on about LYDON .....Aye let's put it right forward to 9am. Then everyone has time to pick an outfit for later, do their hair, have a manicure.....
Got a good point there , write to the clubAye let's put it right forward to 9am. Then everyone has time to pick an outfit for later, do their hair, have a manicure.....
How about you let people be offended and outraged without spouting facts and common sense?
Got a good point there , write to the club
oh hang on make it 11 am let cobblers fans travel up without a 5 am start
Dont see why SYP want to change it, I haven't seen a single copper at the lane this season. Not one. Change of policy or cost cutting?
Wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of games starting at a similar time, new years eve night is always a big attraction (parties etc, )common sense DecisionI'd imagine with the extra police out on the streets because it's New Year they won't want to want hundreds of football fans stopping out when public transport ceases early possibly exacerbating any possible trouble.
Other than work or travelling Blades having to get up earlier I can't really understand the reaction save for those who have to bash the club for something.
It seems like a sensible decision.
