Sheffield United are one of the first clubs in the EFL to move over to a new digital platform with a fully mobile responsive website and online video service.

The Blades and EFL Digital have joined forces with Realise (Website) and Neulion (Video Service) to bring Unitedites around the world a better user experience - whether on a PC or mobile device.

Senior Communications Officer Kevin Cookson said: "After months of meetings, planning, testing and website building, we hope that our fans find our new website easy to use, informative and interactive.

"We're excited to be heading into a new era for our official website, which for the first time will include live video streaming for our overseas supporters."

There are some new features, some from the old site have gone, and some will be added over the coming weeks, the club welcomes any feedback - please email us at [email protected]

Looks very nice!

Looks nice though i still feel the Superstore purchasing options are still piss poor and the club would make a lot more cash if it was regularly updated.

Looks pretty piss poor on desktop. Huge banners, huge thumbnails, cheapo-looking font...looks like an old Wordpress site as has been said.

Is this really so hard to get right?

Nice rainbow I suppose.

It looks better than before. Just needs smaller images and a little bit of additional work on design.

Will need some time to sort out the crap from the relevant stuff.

But simple to use, and I suspect the player side of things going means the club has its own streaming set up.

Not bothered about the site, i rarely use it. so long as the live streaming works fine on matchdays. This is where so many sports have failed their customers...most paid streams like nba,nfl and even sky go have needed a fair amount of tinkering to get them to work flawlessly. The EFl have probably done a fair amount of testing on it as they are ready to roll it out now.

News is November 2016 then ched.nothing happened inbetween.

As requested email club with feedback. Nice of you to use a Y5 student the chance to design the new webshite

I was just going to point that out.

Although it has to be said that link is tucked away somewhat.

I couldn't find the link but I had the other URL bookmarked. Might make it a bit harder for anyone wanting to buy a season ticket online as it stands now?

Seems fine to me. Fairly user friendly. I'm looking at the phone version though.

seems to be the current fashion for website design, massive banners etc. I prefer this to the old site though, the white on black text used to make my eyes go funny after a while.

I just clicked on tickets, then season tickets and it took me to a link to buy a season ticket.

It took me to a page with a lot of stuff on about season tickets and the link to sign in via email at the top. Right down at the bottom of a long page I see now that there is indeed a link to the other site as Bladesman pointed out.
Could be a bit clearer that bit but I'm not knocking the new site, it's fine.

brill for me, with my sloth reactions, by the time I used to click on a picture story it had flipped to something else!

Did you buy one?

What is the service like on the Jakarta to Doncaster-Sheffield-Robin-Hood-Finningley-South-Yorkshire International route?

Come on - give it a chance.

The old website was a disaster from minute 1 of launch - all the content loading made it very un-responsive, especially on anything but fibre.

The new one runs far quicker - there is much less "advertising content" to load before you start browsing.

Much better than the old.

I look forward to figuring out how to find our away games online without being out of the country. And then not watching it because I don't encourage copyright theft...

How much do you want to bet the "live streaming" will be geo-locked so you can't get it in the UK?

VPN required methinks!
