Noted for playing without a recognised Striker….

Tom Cannon will fit right in then

Also was it not under Selles that Hull were playing that suicidal football with the keeper outside his box most games?

You have to ask. What do our owners see in selles that hull city didn't?

And is this really wise Vs keeping wilder.

I can only assume they want less involvement from head coaches on transfers.

That's fine. But we will need a DOF too.

I think that is the hold up

IMO I'd rather see attractive football and not go up rather than boring clinging onto a 1 goal lead and still not go up.
Well of course that goes without saying, if you’re not going up with either option everyone would choose the attractive football option. But obviously you’d only find that out after the fact.

But would you like attractive beautiful football with no promotion Or scrappy boring football that grinds out results and gets us promotion? The shite football promotion option for me every day of the week. I know some would still choose to stay in the Championship while playing attractive football, each to their own but for me it’s a results business and I want to see United get the results by any means necessary and ultimately promotion. Wilder basically hit the post last season and I believe he’d have gone one better this coming season but he’s gone so we move on. I just hope the new manager is all about the points by any means necessary and not how attractive he plays football but that’s just me.

Selles now 1/16 so I’d say we have our man.

Although in the early stages of a betting market a fiver could shift the odds dramatically 😁

Didn't Wilder go to something daft like 1/10 when Adkins got the job?

Not sure but possibly, early stages can be misleading and any money on anyone has the bookies jumping with fear.
Someone should pull a crypto scam and put it all on Jason Tindall to watch the meltdown

Sometimes attack is the best form of defence as Leeds found out. We didn't have the quality at the back to absorb pressure towards the end of the season to play the way we did so I think you can have your cake and eat it by going up with attacking play.

Sheffield United to appoint Ruben Selles as manager following Chris Wilder's sacking. Spanish coach kept up Hull last season and there was surprise at change of manager there. Previously admired when #Blades have looked at managers

So did Ruben Selles, another good young manager who completely outwitted Wilder this season.

Selles has done a decent job in difficult circumstances at Reading & Hull, would definitely be on my list to look at.
Nice of the board to listen to me 😉
