Seth tweeted last night that it will be Pembo assisted by Paul Hart. Think I might have to shoot myself if that happens.
FWIW, the last youth team boss promoted to first team manager by United was Billy McEwan.
That would fit in with our general philosophy, I suppose.
Get rid of one manager that led a team to relegation this season with another as assistant to an unproven, youth coach who apparently doesn't want the job. Effing Priceless!
All the ducks are lined up then. I can hear them all going quackers.

Ouch, what painful memories than brings Revo.
Remember Richard Cadette - Jeez. I missed that one off the thread of former Blades strikers worse than Hendo.
He was shocking and was Billy's blue ribbon signing from Millwall.F**k me we are so screwed.

You mean Southend..........
People don't want Pemberton assisted by Hart?
We have to remember where we are as a club and where we want to go. Both have very good records with youth teams and Hart will give Pemberton experience in dealing with transfers and contracts.
I think Gus Poyet also has got an excellent track record. He went to Leeds so he could come here?

One is a proven failure, the other totally unproven.
That would be a poor appointment even by Utd's standards. As regards who we are and where we want to go, Utd obviously want to go up and as cheaply as possible. We need a good first team manager for that, being good at managing youth teams/academies is a totally different kettle of fish and completely irrelevant to first team results.
I think we need a proven manager, one up and coming with no track record of failure. I would look seriously at Paul Tisdale, Keith Hill, Andy Scott. I think Gus Poyet also has got an excellent track record. He went to Leeds so he could come here?
...the crest of their wave might not last....
I think we might leave Pembo where he is and look to the lower league for an young appointment.
