Just makes me think of this...

I'd think about buying it if it wasn't for that awful looking sponsor logo on the back.

I think it at least needs a number on the back to detract from and balance out the bad look the logo gives it.

I reckon we need black between the stripes, other than that its alright. Just looks like a Sunderland hybrid with their 'Tombola' sponsors.

Even sized red and white stripes - tick
Central Stripe Red - tick
Stripes on the back - tick
Proper club badge - tick
Sponsor logo does not form an "H" on the shirt front - tick
Stripes clearly visible from the stands - tick
Looks good with jeans - don't care - its a football shirt not a fashion accessory.
Black shorts - tick
Looks like Sheffield United and not Walsall in the 1960's - tick

It'll do fine. Promotion now guarantee'd and like Linz says -no opposition turning out in red at the Lane. Thank god for that.

Would have liked (I hoped for) the old 'late' 1940's type socks - red and white horizontal stripes.

Noooo, please don't get me started - there are no such thing as horizontal stripes on a football kit; you mean 'hoops'!!!!!

Im pleased we have black socks and im pleased its red and white stripes, but lets be honest, its not a great kit. The black bits on the sleeves and the lack of collar for me make it look crap, but its still 100% better than last season tho.

What's all this about a new kit have I missed something???
Yeah..it seems that about every 12 months or so the fanatics....sturdy souls but willing to buy owt vaguely red and white.....- get itchy for a new kit. So now you are we need to give them one. Sheff united will go out of their way to ensure that you the fanatic will need to put your hand in your pocket for your children to get the new kit. Of course Sheffield United know it truly matters to you the fans, that a splash of red on the shorts sides is replaced by a splash of white the following year. A round collar is replaced by a flappy black collar. Unreadable spaces on back of short so that older fans cannot work out the number on the back? Do not worry. We shall put a black large number on a white space. See? Your fanatical demand...our obliging supply.
Sheffield United...taking it in at your expense since 1987.

I like it. Modern but not overbearingly so. Definitely on the trend for contrasting sleeves (look at that Nike template just about every bloody team at Euros is wearing...). While the sponsor at front is okay think the one at back is a bit large. Overall, 9/10.

I'm a traditionalist so I'm not that keen. Adidas really struggle to produce a traditional striped shirt it seems. Its an improvement on last season's but fans saying its red and white stripes - what more do you want, need to realise that having red and white stripes is not a bonus but a minimum! There has to be solid sleeves or massive areas of one colour on the sides etc it seems in their shirts. Then there's the black at the top. As an Adidas example, I'd like this shirt beneath, although once again its got the solid colour, this time at the back. Sadly we'd have to be Paraguay to get this shirt!

The kit we were wearing when Deane scored the first ever Premier League goal is the quintessential Blades kit.

It's what I picture in my mind's eye when I think of Sheffield United and it will never be bettered.

Top shirt and probably everybody's favourite, although I prefer black shorts myself.

Reds too red and the wrong kind of white

You jest I know, BUT . . . .

When I was a kid (and supporters mingled freely with each other at matches) we went to Stoke with a mate of my dads (who I'd always thought was quite normal). Said mate spent the whole afternoon arguing with Stokies that the stripes on their kit wasn't as red as ours. Silly bastard nearly came to blows.

I think they only offer no sponsor shirts if theyre advertising something with an age restriction e.g. Beer, Gambling etc.

Which is fair enough I guess. Mind you, can't see my 7 and 3 year olds in the market for doors and hotels any time soon!

Yeah this is a more accurate version:

Great shirt both front and back . Will become great and a iconic kit ,with the players who will wear it next season , and the overall squad Wilder is building. Good vibes from this one.

What is there not to like . Looks good and we will look like we have more than 11 players on the pitch.

Well done Blades
