Some of the crappier kits actually make for nice designs when refined down to a simple idea. I don't really like the kit, but I agree, this one looks cracking.
 



UPDATE: just to say there will be a slight delay in delivery of the annual. We had expect to post out on 29th July, but the fanzine wont be printed until that date. Hope to get them in the first few days of August. Cheers to all who have bought a copy this far.
 
All pre-orders have been despatched on Friday/Saturday. If they are not with you already, they should be today/tomorrow.

Any new orders will posted out on Saturday because the distrubtion wing of Dem Blades has decided to go on holiday.

Would love to hear any views on our latest edition.

Nice thing to come back to find after a weekend with the in-laws :)

+1 for the sash shirt by the way - my only issue with that shirt is that the one I've got is a size too big.
 
I got my yellow covered annual on Saturday and my first impression is that it looks beautiful! Not dipped into the content beyond a quick browse yet but I'm sure it's as high a quality the previous issues have been (so lucky to have such good contributors from the Blades community).
This one is square though so will stick out on the old bookshelf from previous issues ;-)
On the purple sash kit; it was always one of my favourites - the only downside being the baggy 90s sleeves that don't go well with my stick-arms.

Thanks to cjx blade ive caught up with Q2, but Steve is there an Aug quarterly I’ve missed or do the annuals form part of the quarterlies?

I know, I know. Slightly disadvantageous for the shelf aesthetic, unless...after years of subscribing you have an annual shelf and a quarterly shelf. ;)

There's an August edition coming out. But, until now, we're not really shouting about it too much yet. It will be right at the end of the month, so if you've subscribed, you'll get it right away. If not, there will be a few hundred copies on the website.

The Annual 2019 has just been posted out, however, this is not part of the subscribtion. The subscription is to our 4x quarterly fanzines. If you've bought the annual, it should be wit hyou today or tomorrow.

We are aware that this has caused a bit of confusion. IT might be summat we look to change next year.
 
Missed this thread last month. Placed my order just this minute. Enjoyed every single one so far.

Enjoyed the Darlington away, Leicester away, Fulham Monty articles and Darren's article. Great design. Haven't read it all yet but impressed.

Thanks! I think Liz's 'Fulham Monty' piece is one of my faves if not only for enabling us to recreate the the film poster with the class of 1999.

Yeah mate. We've stopped the subscription for now becuase the software/e-commerce site we are using just doesn't work for it. Once we've got Issue 4 sorted, we will be starting a new subcription using fit-for-purpose software. We're talking december time.

In the meantime, Issue 3 (end of August) and 4 (November) will be available on our website demblades.co.uk.
