I think Balham Blade got involved, purely out of sympathy because of the Fulham game, where I sang it loud and proud (and alone) for 120 minutes.

That, and because it annoys Ollessendro and BladeInThatcham .

At Crawley it was only aired whenever Flynniesta was warming up in the corner near us; the rest of the time I was venting my ire at the referee or drinking free Bovril.

Just singing nursery rhymes to the young un and ended up with this, to the theme of baa baa black sheep...............

FA FA have you any cups?
Yes sir yes sir 3 cups to win
1 for the premier
1 for the league
And one the FA cup to go to bramall lane,

Shocking I know

I think this one has mileage...

To the tune of Rudimental - Feel The Love..

"You know I said it's true,
Gonna win the cup,
Can you feel it too?
Can you feel the love
Gonna win the cup"

Well we have plenty suggestions now we just need to actually sing one of them! I personally think the 'all we need is Clough' one is brilliant and would send the hairs on my scrotum up on end if this was sung by 32 thousand blades wembley.

Personally I really liked the BT song (as the boys that were in the boozer in Brentford two seasons back will testify). It's just an easy song to sing pissed, has few lyrics and like Shoreham boys you can just keep going with it until all 32000 are singing in unison.

If a new songs going to catch on it needs to be simple for pissheads to sing.

Hey Jude?

Larr lar lar lalala larr, lal lal la larr we are Blades...

I'm not sure i could sing this after 6 pints

It would end up as, we're blades because we're here because we're blades and I'm over there

"There's nothing we can do that can't be done,
there's nothing we can sing that can't be sung
there's nothing we can play that you can't learn how to play the game,

It's easy.

All you need is Clough, Dat darat derah,
all you need is Clough, Dat darat derah
all you need is Clough Clough...
Clough is all you need"

This just oozes class. A family-friendly, feel-good song without crude references to sex and booze (not that I think there isn't a place for those chants) that means every Blade, young or old, male or female, can join in and create a wave of love and appreciation for our Nige.

God, I sound like a reyt hippy. Let's make this happen!

Then we could do the end bit of the original Beatles song where they alternately sing "Clough is all you need", "Clough is all you need", "Clough is all you need", "Clough is all you need" in a call and response type fashion.

Then the cheap seats could chime in with "We love Clough, yeah, yeah, yeah" and maybe somebody else could bring a saxaphone and play a brief excerpt from Glenn Miller's "In the Mood".

What the hell is wrong with us? Let's get organised! :)

Is there a 'Love this' button somewhere? Is there? Huh?

9 part harmonies with the club wembley prawn butty brigade taking the 'she loves you yeh yeh yeh' part. This coukd be marvellous. Just nees the ginger geek to sort us out. Rehearsals at mine tomorrow from 7. Be there, or be singing shorham boys. Your choice

This is not just a quarter final, it's fast becoming "BLADES" the musical ........:)

Bit of an assumption that there won't be any young ladies in Wembley who want to shag a member of the same sex after downing a pint or two.

It could be the 'boys' that offends them?
