Nah... as much as Martin Samuel, the press and the Birmingham fans would love to believe, NW will not do us any favours.

a) There's no love lost between him and Blackwell

b) He'll want to show people why they shouldn't have forced him out

c) He's been one of the most vocal about teams playing weakened sides and the effect this has on other teams

We'll have to go and win on our own merits... what team Palace have left to actually put out is another matter.

Perhaps though, as neils team that suffered the injustice he may think sod it!
Dont forget Liverpool fielded an under strength team at fulham cos they were in the champions league and I think fulham won. That result seriously affected us.

Good point.

You know, I never got the feeling that he was pushed out. We all know about Sean Bean acting like a Group 1 Twat, but I always got the impression that it was a bit of an emotional outburst. I mean, he left two days after relegation, was it?

And if he were to field a weakened side, I'm sure given a certain match a few years ago, if it went to the FA Disciplinary Panel, then the first witness to be called would be Sir Alex Ferguson, and he could explain why nothing was done on the final day of the 2006/7 season. He could be quickly followed by Benitez for the Fulham match the same season :D

We all know he'll field his strongest side possible .....

A couple of weeks ago he said that he ended a match with seven academy players on the park. If injuries are still a big problem, what looks like a weakened side may well be his strongest side.

The rumours I heard at the time from people apparently ITK was that McCabe wasn't going to give him another contract. Dunno how true it is of course...

Not saying they're wrong, but it would seem a bit 'from the hip' for King Kev I given the support and time he'd handed to St Neil. Anyway, it's all a million minutes ago now.

At least this fizzy lime I have right now has some vodka in it, unlike the sobering liquid I had to have yesterday ......

We should expect no quarter from Mr Warnock, if we are good enough we will win and hopefully be promoted. I dont want to go up because of any hint of favouritism or cheating, lets leave all that to Man Utd and West Ham.

I agree. We go in and we win on our own. I neither expect nor want any help from Mr. Warnock.

But we all know that if we do go up West Ham, B'ham etc will say it was fixed anyway - no matter what team Palace send out. Already heard B'ham saying the refs are fixing it as a way of balancing out the tevez affair.

Hardly motivational...

Cost-cutting sees 10 up for axe at Crystal Palace

Neil Warnock will wield the axe at Crystal Palace next Monday with up to 10 senior players set for the chop, writes Andrew Fifield.

Shekfi Kuqi, James Scowcroft. Danny Butterfield, Johannes Ertl, Paul Ifill and John Oster are all likely to be told they can leave Selhurst Park as Palace cut costs.

Warnock, who saw Palace beaten 2-0 at Doncaster, said: "I will talk to the players the day after Sunday's Sheffield United game - there will be more news then."
