No. I think the words I used and their construction were pretty clear. So from your track record expect it Monday/Tuesday?
Hey NewBee, I'm ok with this one
Nothing will happen before Tuesday. Plenty of genuine PL interest. Not certain that he will go (but IMHO likely). As said before it won't be less than our valuation, particularly to a newly promoted club where add-ons are less likely. And, yes, as RC says, agent playing silly buggers.
Genuine question mate, how do you now get your original valuation now it’s clear to anyone and everyone you have a guy who doesn’t want to be there ??
Sure you may try and hold out but we all know he won’t be there at end of season
Don’t get me wrong, not trying to be argumentative here but aside from maybe new promoted teams your top figure is probably not much to most prem teams so if they wanted him they would have come in by now
I’m sure you won’t get fleeced and will get decent money for him but I don’t think your holding on to a really must have for most prem teams
And now they know he isn’t happy they are going to drive that price down even more surely ??
There’s no way that’s had ‘0’ views.Keep smiling.
I think there's a difference between having your head turned, and not happy being there.
I can't speak for Maupay, but everything I've read and seen says to me that he's a footballer first and foremost, not driven by money and pretty happy at Brentford, but maybe struggling with what's going on around him at the moment, which is fair enough. Had a whirlwind season and suddenly hot property.
Scarebus makes good points on this matter. It's not that he doesn't want to be here, just that he'd rather be earning 10x as much in the Premier League - wouldn't we all like that eh?Genuine question mate, how do you now get your original valuation now it’s clear to anyone and everyone you have a guy who doesn’t want to be there ??

So if he’s turned Brighton down before he could turn them down again....Scarebus makes good points on this matter. It's not that he doesn't want to be here, just that he'd rather be earning 10x as much in the Premier League - wouldn't we all like that eh?
One thing I will say is that all the reports on Maupay is that is he one of the most professional, focused players. If a move to a PL club doesn't materialize for him this window then I expect he'll just knuckle down and get on with it. He's probably one of the few players that can do that.
Don't forget he turned-down a much more lucrative move to BH&A when he joined us - mainly because he wanted 1st team football. So he has his head screwed on in that regard.

No offence mate but forcing your club to let you go home and not stay in training camp so you can get your head straight etc does not suggest to me someone who wants to be there
Sure if Brentford dig heels in he will stay because he has no other choice, I’m sure he will get his head down because he has no other choice to
Cheers Chris, Maupay is ours isn’t he?Update. Henderson and Osborn will be in next week. On Maupay, as stated, the fee nor Brentford are the problem, that’s sorted. The agent problem is also sorted, we’ve agreed his fee, wether it’s what he wanted or he’s lowered his request I don’t know. The gaffer has spoken to Maupay today. It’s now all down to the player as ours isn’t the only offer on the table. Might come down to wages? first team chances? location? ambition? Personal thoughts are we’ll have an answer one way or another by Wednesday/Thursday next week. He was and is No1 target, but if we don’t get him, we move on to other targets.

Maupay transfer is dead. Moved onto McBurnie.
Attention seeker.
We'll see.

Your prediction on Maupay is wide of the mark as I’ve stated every time you’ve said it.
We have NOT moved on and won’t unless he goes elsewhere

Honestly don’t know if he’s the type to chase the moneyI think if there’s other Premier competition that spells bad news for us. I don’t see us paying more than anyone other than (possibly) Norwich in the division. From Maupay’s perspective, surely Sheffield isn’t going to be his preferred location to London, Brighton, Bournemouth...
Our new friends from Brentford have been saying earlier that he’s not the money chaser type more of the play football type, which is either basically confirming us or it’s throwing us off the scent, so we shall see but I hope it’s option 1 AdeHonestly don’t know if he’s the type to chase the money
Hoping it’ll be down to his first team chances and if you’re going off the rumour mill the other teams into him are Bournemouth who have just given Callum Wilson a new contract, Villa who have just bought a 22mil striker from Belgium, Norwich who have Pukki and Sevilla who have plenty of firepower. All of these teams just play 1 upfront as well.
Brighton is more a level playing field on the first team chances front.
