I think Les makes good points, and as others have reasoned, we’d be mightily irritated too if it was our player. The whispers suggest it’s a question of when, not if. If we do pull it off it would be a fantastic signing and Maupay would tick more boxes than Watkins.

Doing an interview with a manager doesn't mean he has "access" to him. If you are going down those roads then Kevin Gage who played with Chris Wilder, speaks to him and works for the local newspaper must be the most In The Know man around.
