Neal Maupay

I want the best for BFC.

Ideally that would be keeping NM, but that's pretty unlikely (imo). So assuming we get our asking price if/when he does go, I'd be quite happy for it to be to SU.

But I suspect that ship has sailed (that's if it was ever tied up in Brentford Docks in the first place).
Fuck's sake, mate. You're like a broken record. We get it.

..........,,,,Or might it be that Sheff U's initial interest was curtailed when they saw the size of the fee BFC were demanding?

It's Sheffield United, fucking Sheffield United

Wilder won’t fall for any of the backhanded tricks by Brentford or any dickhead agents so if Maupay did ever end up here it would be on Wilders terms no matter what any Brentford board members on here would like you to think.

We have the doh, that much is clear, what else is clear is that Maupays agent isn’t doing him any favours, whoever he ends up at will have a very unfit player on their hands all because his head isn’t reyt. Footballers not being able to make their own fucking minds up on things doesn’t help matters either.

He was in Sheffield on 12/03/19 actually, this is a fact, I am ITK.
Was he?
I was there and I can't recall. I remember Blades going down to 10 men early doors and then winning 2-0 with Didzy heading the second.
Maups was there was he?
Must have been a shadow of his former self and no Brentford player could hit a barn door that evening despite having loads of the ball.

Again, I’ll draw the conclusion that ‘if’ all these rumours are true, NP has had ample time/opportunities to come to BL. His agents seen the £’s & turned the players head, so now he’s only interested in a big payday move, clearly doesn’t matter where... (I’ve heard China might have an opening).
Not a pre season working with the club he’s still contracted to.

Think on, if that’s our player and the agent does the same - perhaps in January when Billy is keeping him on the bench, and the player gets in a state and returns to France... = unfit player, head turned, wrong attitude and wants out for a pay increase.
I reckon CWAK have identified the issue before it arrived here.

May be suggest a cheeky final offer of Duffy - Morepay straight swap? Worth about the same... 😉

They can make up their own minds, just as long as they ask their agents first

Brentford are lining up a new striker according to SS.
NM is all but out the door I'd say.

And what "backhanded tricks" would those be?

I am quite happy to accept that CW is a straight dealer, who puts his own valuation on his targets and won't be messed around.

Why do some people on here find it hard to accept that BFC are also straight dealers, who set a price on our players which, if met, sees the players go, but if not, sees them stay?

The simplest explanations are usually the best, namely there is a gap between the minimum BFC will accept and the maximum CW will offer, which is why there has been no deal and CW is now looking elsewhere (McBurnie).

... so if Maupay did ever end up here it would be on Wilders terms no matter what any Brentford board members on here would like you to think.
"Brentford board members"?

The two Bees fans on here who are most ITK over Maupay will be laughing when they see themselves described as such.

And to imagine that any BFC Board Members would conduct their business on a forum like this, even under a username, is even more laughable.

...and the people who post on here, mainly Blades fans I must add, will know that my post was in jest but seen as though you’re an outsider and have come on here spouting nothing but the same old shit I’d guess you wouldn’t know that. 😉

New Bee, I don't personally get why you feel the need to repeatedly post here with the same old stuff when it's becoming increasingly obvious that any 'interesting conversations' have ended and to some at least, you're becoming about as welcome as thrush. If you're looking for people here to start bowing down to the banana, I'm afraid you're probably going to end up disappointed. Let me spell it out. We believe our guy over yours. This is probably for exactly the same reason I imagine you believe your guy over ours. RC has a background of correct calls to his name which make us trust him but will be meaningless to you and likewise whatever your curvy fruit guy's credentials are, they are pretty much meaningless to us. Impasse.

If you're dragging this out to "see who was right" come deadline day or indulge in some inane told you so crap, again it's pretty pointless considering most people figure he probably isn't coming to us now anyway as we're looking at McBurnie. In all likelihood we'll never know how close any kind of deal came and whether anyone was incredibly and utterly wrong. I imagine as you read that last bit, you're itching to assure me again that "there have been no bids according to..." and I'd just like to assure you I got it the first, second, third and fourth times. I couldn't give a toss.

Perhaps hanging about on another team's forum is preferable to knocking about on your own or maybe it's just generally preferable to which ever other way you would otherwise spend this July. I don't know but this is beyond tedious now. Let. It. Go.

According to the most reliable information Brentfords valuation was agreed to. The reliable information your side (I’ll take your word on it) doesn’t even contradict that. Your just not happy with the deal quoted, which has no bearing on what Brentford FC will deem as a good deal.

CD's GB ? Had you down as a vinyl man.

Nope. If I have any vinyl it's purely for the aesthetics or the collectible value. For me, sonic clarity without fear of scratching the fucker to bits is where it's at, and I'm not even talking about super-hi-fidelity this range that range the other range quality either because in that respect my ears are a bit clothy.

These hipsters going, "Yeah man, like, Dark Side of the Moon sounds so vibrant on 200g virgin vinyl," will be singing a different tune in 10 years when their dog has scratched it, their kids have chewed it, and their partner has put it back in its cover with the inner sleeve the wrong way so that next time they take it out the disc drops out and rolls along the floor scraping the skirting boards as it goes. In other words, it WILL be scratched to fuck and they'll be wishing they had the surround sound 5.1 BluRay like I have.

Correct. There were 2 bids, the 2nd of which was accepted almost 3 weeks ago.

Ooops, sorry man. Mind you hipsters get on my wick too, but I am a vinyl guy being an ex DJ, but I probably shouldn't say that I have some albums on 4 or 5 separate 45 rpm discs recorded on 1 side only for purity! I have a lot of LP's as old as I am but in much better condition sadly. :(

When I pointed out that he's still under contract until 2021, I meant that we do not have to sell him this window. Indeed, we won't have to sell him in January. Come next summer, however, when he will only have 1 year left, then we will have to sell him. (Unless we got promoted, that is)

Of course, "having to" is different from "choosing to". I still think it most likely that s.o. will make an acceptable bid before this present window shuts, and we will choose to sell.

But the longer it goes on, the less likely it is going to be Sheff U, not least because you have yet to make an actual bid...

And yes, I am quite aware we are "fucking Brentford": it's what WHU called us when we told them where to go after they put in a laughable bid for one of our players.

We don't want your shit, now fuck off.

A chairman trying to inflate one of his players price by trolling another clubs forum stinks of desperation.....stick to £10m Chrissy....he’s ours 😉

He's had his chance Chris, fuck him off.

Be an important message to agents and players come January.

Are we still in for this guy? I would think not as OM seems to be a cert now.

Time to let this one go fellas

Brentford are signing some striker from the polish league today, maybe this is a start to something that will see this all thankfully end
