You must be on drugs.

We are a championship club. Paying 100k to any player at this level is financial suicide. Pure Wednesday logic.

Hi, I'm the other players in the team wondering why I've being paid 3-4 times less than Ndiaye. Can I have a pay rise please? If not, I want a transfer.

Thanks….I understand where you’re coming from now, you comment makes sense ha ha.

Agree, there’s no way we’ll even offer £30K whilst we’re a Championship club.
My reply was relating to those that say we need to negotiate and extend his contract ASAP.
My point is….I seriously don’t think we can start any negotiations until we know what division we’re in next season.

The longer N’Diaye leaves it the stronger his bargaining position becomes.
The only spanner in the works for him is if he delays signing a contract then gets a serious injury or illness then he’s lost out on making his fortune.

Also agree we have to be careful with our salary cap because will want an increase. Then it leads to financial madness.

I don’t think we’ll be offered much in January, so we may as well keep him.
If we fail to gain promotion we sell him next year and might get 10-15 million max.
If we gain promotion then offer him a lucrative performance based contract with clauses in his favour.

So we keep the basic salary down to normal levels but he still has his chance to earn his fortune.

That’s not my valuation, that’s what many of our fans suggest, when they insist we want 30 million for him.
He is young and a talented player, he will attract a lot of attention from Premiership clubs. He has lots of potential and it would not surprise me if a club came in with a £15 million offer.
MGW for £40 million makes him worth the above.

Sorry, I thought you were suggesting we offered him a new contract on £100k pw today!

I see your point, and while it's a bit damned if you do, damned if you don't, I think we have to offer an improved contract. If I were the player and I didn't get rewarded for my form, I'd be unhappy with the club. In saying that, he's only played 21 games. I don't think he's worth £30 million at the moment to anyone. If he continues, he might well be come the end of the season. I'd offer him say £30k with additions for promotion etc. We might get him to sign up for an extra year. He might want a release fee (which I have no issue with if it's similar to the one Berge has)

England and the World Cup are a little bit like doing the Australian pools coupon when our season used to end…Great to win it, but not nearly as interesting.

Bet some of you are devastated, England win easily and you're hero's team lose and he doesnt get a kick.

I’ve made a point and supported it with facts,
You’ve made a point but given no supporting evidence or information.

Are you able to discuss why paying N’Diaye £100K a week is ridiculous?
Are you suggesting that when McBurnie and Brewster were at Swansea they were both better propositions than what N’Diaye Is now?

Think you’re being ridiculous if that’s what you think. N”Diaye has far more potential.
Most people on our forum rate N’Diaye much higher than McBurnie or Brewster, so naturally a club is willing to pay more for better players.

When McBurnie was the same age as Ndiaye is now he went on to score 22 goals in the Championship in 42 games. Based on his current stats Ndiaye will get 18 this season.

The season before that McBurnie played 17 championship games, scoring 9 goals. He also made 11 appearances in the Premiership. Last season Ndiaye scored 7 in 30.

I reckon Swansea fans would’ve been quite vociferous about McBurnie’s potential, if you’d asked them at the time.

Looking at the size of the Senegal team I can see why illiman didn't get on..

Not 18 months

June 24 if you want to be pedantic this and next season 2 years

I'm not being pedantic, but it isn't 2 years is it?
That's just wrong.
It is 18 months & 1 week... 1.5 seasons.
He goes into his final year at the end of the season.
Pretty much what I said the first time.

McBurnie, Egan, Berge, Baldock, Norwood etc. also all into their last 18 months.
In fact, I don't think there's many tied down beyond that.
Someone used to keep a list somewhere on the forum which was quite a useful reference point.

Some kind of obsession. Likelihood he spends a minute on the pitch, it probably won't be against England, the team that an Englishman WON'T root for.

Wtf

Agreed. All we need is England to lose to Senegal and Ndiaye will not be back for the Huddersfield game !!

The best we can possibly expect is keep him for the rest of the season. Beyond that he’s gone.

England to win, but Ndiaye to score for Senegal. Most likely a Fulham/Blackburn Rovers style dribble from the half way line.
