Could this be a Didsy-esque signing for the PL? Not pulled up many trees recently in his career but there's definitely potential, looks like he's been a bit unlucky at Burnley and might have a point to prove.... only 1 year left on his deal so i'd imagine he'd be available for a cut-price

Ooh , yes please and perhaps Sam Gallagher to partner him and then we'd have the dream striker partnership which many posters lusted for in the close season .

FFS .

You Sir have just gone into pole position for the award for shittiest suggestion of the close season.....I think you will take some beating.

I'm normally accused of that! I suggested Madine and got pelters but it turned out alright in the end I think and he played his part.

Re Wells, I think we need better than him to be honest.

I actually rate him, think he'd have done well for us in the Championship, and would probably be alright in the PL.

One of those where I'd be like 'okay that's fine' but I reckon Wilder might have set his sights higher.

Starting to look like we are not shopping at Aldi more Waitrose. No doubt we will be overshadowed in next few days by the porcine S6

For a long long time, players like Wells were well out of Utd's reach and signing them would have caused much excitement. Now, in the space of 3 years and with the backing of new ownership, Utd are fishing in a very different pool - mainly young players with the potential not only to increase in value but to become top internationals.

The memories of players/clowns like Hammond, Woolford, Scougall etc. seem like a distant memory now. Long may it last!

He’s a Warnock signing. If Warnock was still our manager he’d be on his way to the Lane. Where he’d play about six games without scoring before getting dropped for a fat 33 year old.

You could say that about quite a few signings Wilder has made, some successful, some not. We've brought in much worse over the last couple of years though.

Not saying that we should sign him, but he's not a bad player.

Id like to agree we are shopping in a different market now but say we sign Berge for every Berge there is still a Rodwell. On thing we can all agree on about our Chris is he likes a left field gamble

heard leeds thinking of offering 1.5m for him as they have bought adutch striker

think we could do more than match that , and theres a player they want
could be worth a punt

wolves seem to be more leaning to Oliviera as a signing up front
timing could be right
Is Stuart Beavon still available?

Remember Blades, we're into the silly hours of Deadline day. Anything's possible. Apart from United spending £9M on anyone. Let alone another forward!

“A club the size of Sheffield”. That’s even massiver than massive 😳
