Gone Elsewhere Nahki Wells

Decent Championship striker. Not worth £10m as quoted above and frankly I think £4m is a little on the steep side even in the current market.

even if we could why would we want to spend unrealistic & ridiculous money like the 10m Reading have reportedly offered

Would cost a few million. Assombalonga has gone for £15 million. In today's market Wells probably £5+.

He's not worth that amount but in today's market they would probably ask for something stupid like £10million.

Runoured £10m bid from Reading.

Think £4m is miles off as a valuation.

£10m?! If they want that they can forget it! He only scored 10 goals last season in 47 appearances! He is fast and is a good forward but he's no Andre Gray who cost £9m from Brentford but he'd scored 18 goals that season for Brentford and he was 24, as opposed to Wells who is 27 with less sell on value, unless he scores way more than he has before at this level.

I personally don't think Wilder's top priority is a striker anymore. We've already got 5: Sharp, Clarke, Lavery, Hanson, Ched. That pretty much covers strength, height, pace as well as depth.

Realistically something needs to move before we bring in another.

He'll score 20 goals a season in the Championship, given the service. He's pretty similar to Sharp though, if an upgrade.

Also in his last year of his contract probably worth about 3m tops .

So had Trenton Offside Wiggan

Now that's a name from the past.
Trenton Wigan was like a County level 100m sprinter, lightening fast but had no brain.

I was on the Leppings Lane end for the last match of the season aginast Wednesday in the 1980 County Cup final.
It was Sabellas last match and I'm sure Wigan scored for us that night in a 2-1 win.

He is worth £10m. Anybody saying he isn't obviously stopped following football about 6 years ago. We seem to have quite a few on here that just can't get their heads around modern day player transfer valuations

Despite him never having done this previously at any professional level, including last year when he was in a team fighting it out for a top two position and he returned a total of 10 goals?

Why afford him when we don't want him, Adrian littlejohn had pace but the only thing he brought to BDTBL was a song that we knicked from Man U about Ryan giggs

ONLY thing Littlejohn brought??!
are you bleeding jokin?
backhreeled goal against the grunters?

I was under the impression that, only strikers that can't score for toffee and have an irrational fear of penalties were worth £10million pounds!!????????

A better question would be, do we really want Nahki Wells ?

Based on his performances against the Grunters and his goal scoring record last season I'd say definitely not.

He doesn't seem to be half the player he was 2/3 years ago and, like some others of his type (think Michael Owen) already appears to have his best years behind him.

Good luck to the club that signs him for x million and pays him mega bucks but, thankfully, I don't think it will be us.

CW is much smarter than that.

10 Million pounds 10 million pounds 10 millions pounds what is the world coming too , what's sharp worth then 15 he's just scored 30 in league one would wells do that no

We could have afforded him a few years ago

But we wouldn't pay

Why would we want Nahki Wells. In this league we should be signing potential Premiership players. Huddersfield seem to think he won`t hack it; not even giving him a chance by the sounds of it.

David Wagner says he's injured, and needs an operation to take a screw out of his ankle

Looks like he's going to Reading.

heard leeds thinking of offering 1.5m for him as they have bought adutch striker

think we could do more than match that , and theres a player they want
could be worth a punt

wolves seem to be more leaning to Oliviera as a signing up front
timing could be right

£1.5m would be an ABSOLUTE STEAL at this level and in the current market.

They can offer 1.5 million and get laughed at if they like.
