Individuals who didn't leave the club, like Morgan for example?

Bit confused to how Morgan is contributing to this season, considering he isn't anywhere near the first team. Trying to understand what you're suggesting?

Lord boss said that Adkins would have been given professional advice from people who didn't leave the club at the same time as Clough. I'm asking if he means Morgs for example.

Yes , unfortunatley i do mean Morgan . He will have been kept on , understandlby , to be the conduit / catalyst from one manger / staff to another . Adkins must have relied on the information he was given . Why else would he give all players a chance , when it was glaringly obvious, to all that watch SUFC , where how strength / weakness / shortfalls are . I am not looking for a fall guy , but just trying to fathom out , were we have gone wrong from day one .
Adkins must have come to the conclusion , to give all players a chance , by information recieved by someone in the club , unless it was a non football person who gave it , but if so , a clouded judgement if you ask me.

Absolutely spot on there Lord. Search the thread "Assessing what we have has ruined us", maybe I was a bit emotional after Gillingham for the thread title but I explain in there how his decision, and I believe it was solely his decision alone, to assess what we have has contributed a fair bit to our troubles now. Advice from any single person involved with SUFC would have pointed out the more than glaring areas that needed improvement. Footage of our games would have backed that up too. The decision has come back to haunt him.

Morgan had been close enough to the team last season to give Adkins a good breakdown of the strengths and weakness s ,if he couldn't then what's he doing coaching at all.My opinion is Adkins decided to give everyone a chance as man Management is about fairness tempered with information gathered from different sources .Ofen anew manager comes in and a set of struggling players really do perform for him ,he has to see if his methods will work with them (you can name plenty of examples of this)finding the ones he can work with does take time maybe the time has come and he will have to make a few decision s quickly. He can not put all 25 + squad players on the scrap heap heap and we do have some good players .We have to trust he has got the backing of the board and he can carry out the surgery required I would think he has that as why would he take a job of this difficulty as failure here will not help his future prospect's

I tend to agree with that. He was also hampered by so many players being injured when he came in; he could neither assess them or ship them out.
