Imperative we get him tied down. What’s the point in letting it go until the end of the season and then panic if we haven’t gone up and because of that he decides he’s not signing?

Do it now while we have a chance of being promoted

I know that means paying him a higher salary earlier but we need to get that fat release clause into his contract to protect our asset
 
My eye sight is getting worse as time goes on and for a moment yesterday when Brewster pulled up with the hamstring injury I absolutely shit myself thinking it was N’Diaye and our season was over. (No offence Rhian)

Best player we have ever produced and there has been some bloody good ones!
 
He is a very, very good player. Has the potential to become something extremely special if he carries on developing like he has in the last 12 months. Couple of times recently he's come oh so close to getting through 3 or 4 defenders and getting clean through...one of these times he'll make it all the way and it will be a goal that gets worldwide attention.

Hopefully we don't get any silly bids in January, but if he carries on like this we'll struggle to keep him next summer even if we do go up. At present, he looks destined to go all the way to the top, so enjoy him while he's here!

I did the same. I went "oh fuck!" then heard the commentator say it was RB and went "oh thank fuck for tha...shit no I don't mean that." Gutted for Rhian but in the heat of the moment I was just so relieved it wasn't Iliman :oops:

New deal now. Make him the highest earner. Because he’s fucking unreal and by far and away the best player in the squad. He’s gone past MGW. It‘s almost like it’s not real that somebody that good plays for us.

I don't think anybody has ever gone for more than £35m in this division.
Ndiaye is an incredible talent, but I think that's probably his ceiling whilever he's here and we're at this level.

If he stays here for the rest of the season and registers 20-25 goal contributions then there's a good chance we'll get a silly offer.
I'd be surprised if it's an immediate move to a top 4/6 team though.
 
Give him a new contract on top money, and cry when he immediately suffers a season ending injury.

Seriously though, he has more than mad skills and an intelligent footballing brain. He dug his heels in to get the contract he has now. That takes more than self belief. It takes some smarts to know his value before he’s proved it. Thank you Prince for bank rolling his signing and upgraded contract.

It’s obvious that fans want him to stay and I agree with that. Is his future with us if we get promoted, or does he end up like MGW?
I hope he makes the right decision, for him, and for us. I think he just wants to play football and be loved …. as long as he is rewarded appropriately.
 
i think some of the prices people are throwing around are hugely inflated. As a case study Eze who was a better player when at this level went for £16 million to palace. This was a couple years back though but hes an English player so would demand a higher fee. I think Ndiaye is probably worth around 10-15. If he was english 15 - 20. He’s not the only championship player with this ability. Hes been very good for us but hes no where near 30/40m 😂. Some of the best players in the world have gone for less money recently.

Brooks was 11 million a few years back now. Market has grown since. He's had longer doing well than Brooks.

The record sale from the Championship is £41m, Nathan Ake from Bournemouth to Man City. Although Bournemouth hadn't yet started their Championship season.

That deal isn't a great comparison, so I think a more relevant precedent is Ollie Watkins, who went for £33m. Ndiaye will become a better finisher and more prolific as time goes on, but he's got more to his game than Watkins.

Eze is a fair shout and probably comparable in ability, potential and even style.

Although I’m pretty sure fee was closer to £20m

This puts a massive importance on contract situation (of which I’ve no idea for Eze). We get N’diaye on a new deal and can probably command +25m for him in the summer. Don’t agree a deal and my guess is this would be closer 10m as he moves into the last year of his deal.

Regardless of contracts, almost certain he’s only got a about 18 months left in red and white. His ceiling is higher than where we operate at.

Best we can hope for is to enjoy him whilst he’s here, keep’s improving, helps us to promotion, signs a new deal and we get a good few for him.

I think IllimAn is a much better player than Eze. He is an all rounder. Don’t remember Eze ever tracking back, closing down and winning the ball back Like I’ll. Also Illiman much more consistent week in week out and goal scoring record far better.

58, he's obviously got a savvy agent as illustrated by the contract stand off a while back. Apart from the risk of injury I can't see any reason why his agent is going to agree to a new contract. He knows full well he is going to be in massive demand in both January and next summer and will be looking to maximise the players and his own revenue through signing on bonuses etc not protecting the clubs interests.

Additionally if he gets a chance in Qatar he can display his skills in a global scale. I may be wrong but the only way I see him being here beyond this contract is if we go up.

He will be close to the magic no' when his contract runs out, under 24 and we have some leverage 24 and he can walk for free that is a big problem.
Hopefully he will appreciate we gave him is chance and Hecki is his mentor ! maybe he will have some influence regarding his future.
Clubs will be aware of his contract situation and maybe try to get a bargain.
Hopefully Ndiah won't be in a rush to be a millionaire.
