My take ...

To be honest Pommpey I have tried to talk about football with you have given my points looking back through our last few discussions shall I say. To my discredit i have been dragged into something which to be honest from an outside looks pretty pathetic. I think you would agreed it doesn’t make either of us looking particularly good.
Tell you what I will try to keep it to football and apologise if I have gotten personal I don’t think I have overstepped the mark but clearly you do and for that I apologise.
One thing I will ask you is you said in an earlier post the club is “fucking fucked” now if you mean us getting relegated this season then yes it is however I’d you mean in general I can’t think why you would believe this. We have not been in a better financial position in our history. Yea we are going down yes it’s disappointing but I think even you can see that we have some great foundations?
I am passionate about this club and passionate about the manager it doesn’t come across in the right way sometimes I admit. But no way are we a bad team and have bad players, as bad as some have been at times there are a lot of mitigating circumstances why this is. It seems that certain people like to disregard this and get off on criticising the club, players and management.

And peace breaks out on S24SU. Thank fuck.

We'll keep a respectful detente between us, if that's okay? I am not trying to change your opinion on Sheffield United. You hold that and that is for your reasons. We are all different in our outlook about the situation and that wouldn't change, even if we were in a European spot at the moment. I don't doubt the Liverpool messageboard is ablaze at the moment with optimists and naysayers alike. By 'fucking fucked' I do mean 'relegated' and with that, showing me at least no vital signs beyond random heartbeats and flickers of the eyelids. Our financial position is good, but we have bought a truckload of really, really disappointing, expensive makeweights since promotion, none of whom have made a scintilla of difference. I think Wilder is fully aware of our crisis and is doing his best to deal with it, whilst out on the green stuff, we look shredded and fragile. It must be breaking his heart as much as it is breaking ours. And I fear people are heaping expectation on SUFC next season in the Championship when in the mix will be definitely WBA, possibly Fulham and any one from two or three more, plus those who miss out this year. It may be tougher than people think, especially if our signings still fail to fit in and fail to deliver, and we carry on with the rump of the team of the past few years playing 5-3-2 Wilderball.

A new Sheffield United needs to emerge from the wreckage next season, hopefully the stadiums will be full and we can witness our fightback.

Seriously? The first part I mean, seriously? Did you expect to see PSG when you tuned it?

Beggars belief on here at times
What, that the game on Wednesday was awful, with us playing in a slow, ineffective way and that the change in formation didn't really work Did you think we played well?

Thought we dominated much of it against a pretty good championship team. We are bottom of the premier league.
Fantastic performance? No.
Awful performance? 100% not

This good Championship side at the minute are being taken to the cleaners by Watford!

Four nowt at half time, versus eleven.

Kinda gives some perspective, dunnit?

Edit> 5-0

I saw the Watford/Bristol City score and came on here just to see if anyone had made the extremely simplistic comparison with our result the other day.

Watford are quite clearly 5x better than we are.

Luckily we won't be playing Watford next season

I assume you’re suggesting they’ll be promoted this season. I wouldn’t be so certain, they’re very unlikely to make the automatics and even if they do manage to stay in the playoffs there’s no guarantee they will win them.

Either way it doesn’t really matter because despite their score line against Bristol City we are a better team than them.

Bristol City beat Wednesday 2-0 this season. Means we’ll easily do the double over them next season dunnit?

Football doesnt work like that does it as cc1 has pointed out
Surely you should realise that but lets have a pop at the Blades
We won a game of football it was the FA Cup thats all we needed to do
If it was league football it would be 3 points doesnt matter if its 1-0 or 5-0

Watford thrash Bristol City 6-0 the other Bristol team are now in League one relegation places 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔

Anyone else think Bladesballer is McBurnie??

If so, oreyt

Edit: just looked at his posting history, Definitely McBurnie.

This is for Robboblade too Pommps!! Yeah, thank fuck peace has broken out between you two. Got enough with the knuckle scraping element chucking shit at each other, without the people who can actually string words together in an amusing and/or informative way starting! We all think this season is crap, United are crap, life is crap, but let's try and keep that sense of humour and perspective on the forum, and try to continue to laugh at ourselves and the situation.
Because if we can't do that then we are really "fucking fucked "!!!
Cheers lads!

I hope I`m wrong but I watched him in the England matches including before signing with us and he seemed to be more of a lone wolf. Marginally better but still firing blanks. He was always subbed off in the 2nd half or brought on late.

All I can say is he needs a goal and that will either make or break him. Unfortunately I said the same about McBurnie before he scored for us just hope Brewster turns into a goal machine.

I seriously think we’ve had our pants pulled down. We all got excited about a young star at Liverpool like we did when we loaned that Woodburn fella and look how it turned out. The only time we seen Utd spend some serious dosh and it’s all been wasted.

We should have done to Bristol C what Chelsea did to Barnsley... oh hang on 🤔

Or....sometimes it takes players a little bit of time to settle into a new team (we have plenty of recent evidence for that) especially when that team isn’t playing particularly well.

You can only beat the opposition put out in front of you .. game won , in next round & best team on the night ... the Bristol City team we played 2 years ago were a far better outfit I have to say ... anyway we’re still on for a Wigan 2013 relegated but win FA Cup ... really must stop drinking this Stella !!

Bert came to that conclusion a few weeks ago.
You're good at spotting stuff you Bert. You've called a lot of things out.

I hadn't really seen his posts before but that last one hit me. When I checked, it was obvious.

Just looked back on his posts and seeing as I like Mcburnie I must be him as well !
