The way I read it is that players can still go out to a league with an open window, so we could still have players going out to leagues 1 & 2 on loan until 2nd September (when their window shuts).

Babe in arms! In my over fifty-seven years , the only window that comes close was January 1971. Our great manager - John Harris - knew we needed a re-shuffle and brought in John Hope, Trevor Hockey and David Ford. We'd just sold John Tudor to Newcastle, the fans were (rightly) pissed off but signing these three (especially Hockey) was a game-changer. There were 17 games of the season left, we lost only two and were promoted back to the top flight.
