Whether it’s a fine margin or not is for CW to decide and, ultimately, I’ll respect his decision but it’s around 5% of the likely transfer fee and IMO to lose out because we wouldn’t pay it is spoiling the ship for a ha’porth of tar.

Agree the 800k and then it will be, oh and he needs four private flights a year to France and the return for his family. This will be handled by my brother's company exclusively at £40,000.00 per flight. And so it goes on.......

The fortune cookie has spoken. The good news is I checked out the window and there is indeed a line of impossibly beautiful women queuing up at my door, so I now fully expect Maupay, McBurnie, Haggerty R, Haggerty F, Whatmore, Henderson and Guthrie to all sign, whilst Bruce will leave Wendy meaning they give the job to Adkins. And Nik Turner will rejoin Hawkwind.

If we give in to this agent then not only will every other agent make similar demands, but this agent will have a foot in the door at united with possible access to our young players without agents. Do we want him having access to the next ‘David brooks’ ?

Funny innit how a housing agent can't charge you 25 quid for a reference check anymorr but these fookers can charge such disproportionate fees for the work they undertake!

Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery - but signing some bloody platers is a cure!

Do we really want that sort in our club?!!!

😳:D

So the incomings for this transfer window look like being:

Freeman
Jags
Robinson
Henderson (loan)
Osborn
Morrison
Mousset

Very underwhelming isn't it! They're the sort of transfers I'd expect if we were having another season in the Championship

Who would you suggest signing whilst maintaining our pay structure ?
We could always do a Fulham and bring in a new team on inflated salaries, that not only lost them their premiership status, but will have cost them millions in reduced player valuations and high salaries.

Eh????
Take Mousset out of that and I'm very happy so far with the way CW is going about his business!

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Do you really think if we'd spent another season in the championship we would have spent 5.5m on Freeman and potentially 6-9m on Robinson?!

Henderson and Robinson 100% signed, Maupay won’t be announced tomorrow in case anyone’s holding there breath (from a very good source)

Sod it, I'm gonna ring Clubcall they'll have all the answers, surely?!

Anyone else remember ringing that back in the day? I recall Andy Pack waffling on and me getting really frustrated and thinking get on with it man, my Mum's gonna go ape when she sees the bill!

Disagree, especially pleased to see Hendo back, a high quality goalkeeper.

I can recall the first inkling of a new signing was seeing it on the newspaper board at the side of the woman who sold the Star in the High Street.

Blades sign star striker, it proudly proclaimed, sadly the star striker was Chris Guthrie

Aye I remember the little snicket with the number next to it on teletext adverts . Never called it though but still checked daily .

I wouldn't rule out McBurnie or Maupay yet tbf. Not ITK but I can still see us getting one of them, McBurnie now seems more likely though I guess.

In the 90's it was always Blades sign "Premier League Star" only to realise we'd signed Alan Cork - legend to be fair!

The funniest story I head is when Brentford had a similar headline in their local paper when they re-signed Bob Booker from us, who of course they let go for free, three years earlier!

I'm not ITK, I'm ATC (Amongst The Clueless) but surely there is smoke, not without fire? Unless it's Dan Burn.

I want us to sign Maupay and McBurnie so bad that if we don't get them I will spin round and round and round and scream till I'm sick!

I've not suggested doing a Fulham. We need to add quality and only 2 out of that list will add quality from last season's side. Freeman for Duffy and Robinson for one of the forwards. You genuinely believe that will be adequate for the Premier League? That strike force doesn't look good enough and the right side of defence looks incredibly vulnerable to me if we're starting with Baldock and Basham (as much as I want him to do well).
