So it’s Maupay agent that wants More pay . Agents fees get more greedy the higher league you play in . That’s the price we pay I’m afraid . Would the 800k be value for money in the wrong run ? Could be a gamble with the transfer fee and wages but could also be good business . Tricky
Cheers for update RC

Your life, maybe.
By “we” you mean SUFC aka Wilder and Co. I really don’t see them being prepared to spunk moneh on agents fees. Nor would I expect or want them to.
At least we’ll get relegated honourably then.

And yeah, my life is like that. I’ve had to pay plenty of money to parasites to do things like buy a flat, extend a lease, I get overcharged on service charges by incompetent managing agents and can do very little about it, I have to pay for a fucking parking permit to park outside my flat, I have to pay a congestion charge just to take my car into central London but I do these things because I wanted to own a flat, a car etc. It’s my choice - pay the twats or don’t have a flat, a car etc.

And it’s the club’s choice now - pay the agent or don’t sign our first choice striker and settle for second best.

It will have to include a ‘no coaching’ condition...
Unless by ‘coaching’ you mean holding Maupay’s head in a sink full of water until he signs Maupay over to him.

I don't think they can just sack them unfortunately. The level of control agents exert over players is sickening.
Depends on any exclusivity agreement, particularly over contracts or transfer (or both).

But it can and has been done. A lot does depend on the player and his express wishes. If they were strong enough that is.

What concerns me is that we look like bringing in 4 midfielders (LF, RM BO and CR) and still no striker

I hope the club can sort Maupay deal out one way or another and if not McBurnie

We still have billy and didzy? I’m honestly not that worried about not signing Maupay.

We haven’t been let down in the last 3 year and I doubt CWAK will let it happen now when the whole team worked so hard to get to the prem!

Neal to agent.

“I want this move. Your fee is the sticking point. Drop your fee, or I drop you”.

UTB

I dont know if things have changed much as I havent discussed agent circumstances with anyone in the game for a good few years now, but I'm not sure what player/agent contract agreements are like in all cases these days.

If this is the truth, i'm 101% behind CW on this. Tell Maupay to pay the fucker £800k out of his own pocket if he wants to come to BDTBL or we deduct £800k off his wages over the length of the contract to cover it. Either way we're not paying other people's c**ts to act like c**ts. Also, keep away from Lys Émilien Mousset he's not the forward we are looking for.

And do what when we sign no strikers?

We will sign a few strikers, they may not be Maupay or Mcwhats his name but signing them is no more guarantee they will succeed

I thought last season we didn’t do enough in terms of signing strikers, turns out I don’t know much, I think we will get 3 or 4 regardless and see from there

If we have to go plan C then that’s what we will do

Mousset - oh dear. Not fussed if we don't get Maupay but we need a better alternative than Mousset.

Glad to hear that the Morrison trial hasn't been a waste of time. However I'll still be surprised if he has a big role to play.

Could be Bettis.
When you know this fine detail, which hasn't been publicised, you are in the inner circle-

'' Oh, and looks like a deal will be worked out and offered to Morrison. He’s done really well and been quiet, friendly, polite and courteous''

I think it’s someone that wilder is feeding. Doubt it’s Wit as RC has not slipped in Brexit it at anytime. Personally I wouldn’t rule out a radio sheffield or star journal who might be close to Wilder at the moment.

Is the fact RC joined on 1st July last year telling... not sure who joined at that time or why the idea came about at that time

Prestridge, or Ward? Physio? Inner circle though for me.

If true we would have Duffy, Freeman, Robinson & Morrison all that play the attacking midfield role and to some extent McGoldrick. That seems a bit overloaded to me.

All of them are very versatile beyond the 10 role though. Freeman and Morrison can both play centre mid or attacking roles. Duffy anywhere across the attacking mid line, and we all saw McG excel in a deeper mid role. I haven't seen enough of Robinson but am fairly sure he won't be a 1 trick pony.

and at dinner, he correctly passed the port to the left, correctly referred to "serviettes" as "napkins" and started from the outside with his cutlery and worked inwards, and tilted the soup bowl away from him. Just a pity he had to spoil it with a loud fart as he left the dining room to snort a line of coke.

Summat to do with Radio Cheffield obviously. That's a dead give-away.

Not the same though is it?

You’ve decided that, taking everything into consideration, it’s worth paying the add ons for flat, lease, car etc. which you have decided you need.
Football players aren’t sure fire needs. It much more a judgement call so it isn’t a case of first choice or go without completely.

Second, or third, choice player may well be so only by a fine margin, if that.

Whether it’s a fine margin or not is for CW to decide and, ultimately, I’ll respect his decision but it’s around 5% of the likely transfer fee and IMO to lose out because we wouldn’t pay it is spoiling the ship for a ha’porth of tar.

Just said exactly this to my mate.
