He actually produced the outstanding moment of attacking skill when he made a chance for himself and was thwarted by a great save from the keeper. He was okay, not fantastic but okay. Sharp was much the same but an extra couple of marks to him for putting the ball away.

Very tidy player is Joao, would fit in here well. Add to that the double bonus of the meltdown over there :D

Can't see them letting him come here though, despite their financial problems.
 
Okay, now it looks like Norwood is in the bag who’s up next Richard Cadette?

I am guessing assombalonga is no longer getable, any word on a forward?

If Norwood and Johnson do come in then you’ve got to assume that there was a bit of truth in the suggestion that we were after Assombalonga as well, even if that’s no longer the case.
 
I'm wondering if it's another Boro striker, but not Assombalonga ? Nothing to indicate who it might be as yet, just can't see it being him.....
 
The striker I think will be 1 of, wells, Gallagher or Fletcher. Although I don't know if Boro would want to give us 2 players if Johnson comes as well. Then again they've already beat us so might not be bothered haha

Part of me reckons Assombalonga's name was put out there to shut up some of the moaners. That set of three players mentioned right off the back of the window closing was a real 'Woah' moment and big f*ck you to those saying how disastrous the transfer window had been. If we can get two out of the three, it's still a win.

To be fair to the poster he’s got quite a few right....he said we’re intested in Assombalonga, not that we’re signing him.

We were optimistically interested in Coady last season, interest is just that. You have to put feelers out there to know whether to pursue or not.

There’s probably a substantial list of players we’ve either been interested or enquiried about. So what may be true one week maybe complete stupidity the next. Also it appears some of our dealings have taken time and others have been sorted quickly.

You never can be 100%
