Often disappointed, never discouraged
Arteta also said our goal came from a long ball
I think he said if you have a 1 goal lead you are always vulnerable to a long ball, set piece etc, I don't think he was describing the move as such.
“It’s just one long ball, a second ball and then someone put it in the goal from an incredible angle,” Arteta lamented. “It’s difficult to control it.”
John Fleck’s late strike stuns Arsenal to gain Sheffield United a point
Sheffield United denied Arsenal a home victory in the Premier League when John Fleck’s 83rd-minute goal earned the visitors a 1-1 draw
By no means the only instance where Arteta seemed to be suffering from Wenger Vision on Saturday.
We had no chances in the second half, he felt. The most revealing example, though, was after 20 mins(ish?) in the first half, when he clearly suggested to the ref that we were time-wasting. Because, obviously, we had come for a 0-0. Playing 2 up top. Having had the better of the opening exchanges. And having had a right go away from home all season.
But, massive Arsenal and all that.
I don’t think I like him very much.
