Anyone else notice that the 2 times the commentator mentioned Besic he called him Osborn?

Twice.

What is it with the media and us, blind spot city central, do they not get paid when they work on us so don't bother?

Meh... all Ian Wright really had in his analysis was a moan about a non penalty! Shows how far we've come when we've matched arsenal away....(playing badly, according to the only opinion that matters)

And both Shearer and Wright think it was a certain penalty and can't understand how VAR did not give it!

Pepe's dive ignored by the former Arsenal striker? We have to thank the Arse supporters for booing Michael Oliver at the outset - great motivation for a ref on his 500th PL game.

Lineker really didn't care and read his links with all the enthusiasm of a bored teenager reading out his mums weekly shopping list. “Sixteen points away now for Sheffield United... so- onto Arsenal...”.

Also, why did they show the first shot of the “penalty” which clealy showed no contact whatsoever, yet ignored that and conjured up about 4 others that made it look like there might be and let Ian Wright cry about it?

And Jonathan Pearce calling Besic “Osborn”. I thought these commentators were all stats nerds who prepped their games? Clearly couldn't be arsed with us.

I’ll give them a bit of praise for the blatant piss taking of Mike Dean and his “occasion” though.

Interminable analysis of some games, all we get is Ian Wright talking about Arsenal. No analysis of our goal just Wrighty eulogizing about Arsenals latest wonderkid.

Pepe dived, Jack was trying to get his leg out of the way. But the pundits and Prem fans are so taking in with the whole fucking "he felt contact so he went down " bullshit that they just don't see it anymore!

Dean and VAR thought no penalty but Ian Arsenal Wright knows better.

Stuff em still above the Arse and Totteringham, who cares what jug ears, grumpy and Geordie think.

In the interview, Wilder seemed to agree with the interviewer who said we’d bossed only the first and last 10 minutes of the game. He also was pretty downbeat about our performance.
I didn’t see it like that. I thought we were actually on top for just about all the first half, played some really nice football and certainly created the only chances. Until they created one and scored.
Second half, okay, Arsenal were pushing us back but we still created chances and equalised. And nice that VAR, for the second game on the trot, has started to undo some of its nastiness towards us this season.
Overall the game was even and a draw was right. Tufty was too harsh on the performance.

I didn’t mind. It shows how far we’ve come that they don’t even bother to say ‘what a good result for little Sheffield United’ anymore.

Agree....all the media including Match of the Day have praised us so much it’s now almost boring.
Everyone now seems to access we are a decent side and our draw away at Arsenal was expected...it’s no surprise to anyone and shows our progress.

I noticed that the best chance that wasn’t scored (McB at the end) was not counted as interesting enough to show!

Fuck ‘em!
Showing that chance would present the view that Arsenal were lucky to get a draw in the end. That's not the picture they wanted to portray to the viewers for some reason 😕

Arteta also said he didn't remember us having a shot on goal in the second half until the goal; either he thinks headers don't count or he needs to go to the memory clinic.

Arteta also said our goal came from a long ball, when it was Enda to Mo to Callum - chipped onto the back of Billy’s head (!) and smashed in with Irn Bru finality.

Arteta and Tufty in an alley - Arteta pulls out a solid silver shiv and says “Welcome to the elite level”.

Tufty kicks him in the nuts, smashes him with an overlapping Peroni bottle and says “Welcome to fucking Sheffield”.

The more they look down on us, the more they really fear us.

The Magic is Back - and it feels even Better than Before.

I suffered 'Final Score' yesterday - a 2-hour long Martinelli wank-fest halted when 'hard-working Sheffield United' had the temerity to score. Throw in never-has-been Micah Richards who practically shot his load when Citeh scored (very fair on any watching Palace fans) and you had the usual appalling BBC coverage. With reguar visits to The London Stadium.

Don't forget, every last one of these 'pundits' had us to go down, and they're not going to admit they're wrong are they?

I agree with Wilder. I said at the time that we looked like a league 2 side in a cup game yesterday for the bulk of the game and Arsenal had much more quality than us. That said we deserved a point and Fleck took his goal well...... If only our strikers could remember how to score!

The big difference with Wilder and the likes of Arteta is Wilder looks at his own team performance and how we could have done better, Arteta is just moaning about how they should have won , but they didnt get a 2nd and we equalised with a good goal. He should be looking at his own team more, and what they did wrong. I dont think we deserved to win either, like wilder said, but we deserved a point .

Was actually impressed with Lumphead in his MOTD interview after Chelsea lost in that regard, talked about how his players were down but they didn't do enough and that's the reality of football if you don't take your chances.

Despite some of the plaudits we are getting, we still get some rubbish thrown at us as well. This team and the staff are proforming bloody wonders. Just look at the wage bill compare. We are the lowest in the prem. Compare it to Arsenals, and holly shit! We have took 4 points off em! Its brilliant what we have done so far this season
